michael43 is excited!
i’m at 6 right now
How I did it: I'm marking this as done, despite the fact that I never actually did 100 consecutive pushups. Why? Because that's a pretty silly, arbitrary goal when you get right down to it. What's important is that I went from barely being able to do 10 sloppy pushups at a time to being able to do more than 60 good-form pushups consecutively. I've now moved to a more balanced fitness program, but this program helped give me the incentive to start impro… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I do it everyday. Became a habit coming out of high school ROTC. Rofl. we always had to do it when someone messes up. so i guess it was a group thing. and it meant we were forced to do it every other 10 mins. it sucked, but we exercised a lot. it was a good thing. even tho we were getting punished. so yeah. just try to make it a daily routine out of it and ull be able to handle it wihtout pains. peace! I really can’t be bothered doing it.. Probably from a lack of energy of not eating properly. I really should get onto some sort of ‘solid’ eating pattern, a random bowl of noodles here and there probably doesn’t cut it. Well, I guess I’ll go do those darned push ups now.

... I had this as a goal 9 months ago (Well, I have entries on here from 9 months ago so that must be when I made my first attempt to do 100 push-ups…
I’m back to doing this goal again thanks to some recent motivation that came from this site (I think I saw this goal on someone else goal list and was like “Hey! I should try that” and then figured out I had attempted to 9 months ago!)
I’m doing the 6 week program, I’ll probably take a little longer then 6 weeks but I have no reason not to be able to do 100+ push-ups by the end of this year.
I started the program last Monday and today is Wednesday so if I bother to do push-ups today (Which I will!) then it means so far I’ve managed to stick to this program..
I’ll keep posting random updates here since thats how I seem to remember to continue with my goals.. Kind of like “I told Internet people I was doing this, so now I have to do this” :P
Wish me luck! :)
I’ve done as many as 130 in one day. Taking a day off, as I did Sunday, seemed to re-energize me. If you can’t hit the gym or go running, this is a pretty good routine. I can certainly tell the difference in my upper body muscle tone after one week.
I’ve mostly been doing sets of 20 reps. I’d like to up that to 30. Right now, 40 reps is a struggle, and 50 just a bit out of reach.
i did a couple weeks over, but now i can do 16 pushups in a row! taking those 1-2 min breaks in between really makes a diff.

Azumel is a Self-Knowing Healthy Extrovert? Who knew?
When I was in the Army I wasn’t able to do 100 pushups, might be a bit harder now as I always hated doing them, but it’s a good goal.
madamwitty is waaay too busy for 43T lately
and I’m ready to begin: http://hundredpushups.com/
Eric is job hunting
Ive started this before, but only made it about halfway through when I hurt my back (unrelated) and had to stop. Someday I will finish!
I’m a pretty slender dude, and the gym hasn’t always been my best friend. What I do know is that I’ve never had a plan, so maybe this time with a plan I can accomplish something.
