We went there for a week in Nov 2008. As the taxi drove from JFK to Manhattan and I first caught sight of the skyline I began to cry. We dumped our bags at the hotel and walked/ran as fast as we could to the Empire State Building. It was the early hours of the morning in the UK and we were jet lagged but knew we couldn’t sleep until we’d seen her. We went straight to the top and miraculously there were only a handful of others there. We stood there for ages, speechless for most of the time.
Walking through the city that night I felt like I had come home. Nothing will stop me from going back.

Taz Smile and no one knows what you're up to ;)
to the friend that I made on our last trip there at the weekend and she can’t wait to see me again. :D
For now it is still a dream, but dreams are a good thing no?

Was in transit in NYC, coming back from Barbados. I just put my foot outside the airport, to say “I’m in New Yorrk Ciittyyyy”.
All airports look the same but I felt something in my chest when I saw the “Welcome to New York” sign.

The best place I’ve ever been, I would do anything to go back here, its just got so much atmosphere, I love it! I really want to go at christmas as I’ve already been in the summer when it was sooooo hot!, and I really want to go ice-skating in central park :) my aim is to go there for christmas 2009, if I can! If not, then christmas 2010.

I’d always dreamed about going to New York.
My father used to live there, so I’d talk to him about it a lot. He’d always say “I hope you make it there someday.”
I lost both my parents April 9th of this year…
In May I decided to go to New York to see my favorite band play an acoustic show (Bayside) and finally lived out my dream and I was thinking of my father the whole time and hoping he’d be proud of me.
I really loved New York. It was beautiful.
I’d like to end up there someday…

I get withdrawal symptoms if I go too long without going to New York. So the saving starts here as it’s over a year since last I went.

but combining it with “visit different countries”. As next time I go to New York I am hoping to different parts of America too, I feel it fits more in this goal than being a stand alone one.
