New scanner! 1 month ago

Once we have it set up I am going to start scanning old photos and storing them digitally. Hopefully it will give me an opportunity to go through all my photos and get organised.

I have a new portrait of Stinky Pinkleton that I need to collect and order a matching frame for her newborn portrait.

Feeling the urge... 7 months ago

...to get on with this. I really want some more recent pics on display. I must, must, must send off for some more digital pics to be developed.

I want to get into a good routine off putting all the previous months pics onto the computer on the 1st of the month, displaying some on facebook and getting a few faves developed for albums/frames.

I’d quite like to ,ake some photobooks too.

Some progress! 11 months ago

In my house reorganising I have accumulated all my photos into one cabinet in my bedroom and gradually they are getting sorted.

I’ve also started going through all my digital photos and organising them. It helps to have a screensaver of all my photos as it serves as a reminder of the goal.

We’ve also just got some professional pics of Emma done so I need to get some new frames and have a reshuffle to give each child equal wall space!

I finally got pictures from my wedding reception into an album! Still have vast amounts to organise though!

My laptop died and I have been really hectic at work – I’ll maybe take some of these offshore with me and try and get some done in the evening but to be honest, I’d rather just watch some UFC and head to be.

flashes from the past 2 years ago

(1987)

Since I’ve been dabbling in facebook & finding myself in touch with all sorts of wonderful people from my past, I’ve been scanning & re-photographing old photos to share.

Yesterday I set up a couple of online albums for some of the pictures from the 80’s. Like Old School: The Photobooth Sessions, many of which have been glued in my old journals for 20 years.

Nostalgia.

Flickr collections 2 years ago

Ever since Flickr offered the ability to organize photos in collections (instead of just sets), I’ve been wanting to wrap my head around it all & start setting some up so I can do a mass upload (apologies in advance if I’m flooding anyone’s feed).

Over the last few days I finally started. It’s going to take a long time to sort it all out, but at least I’ve begun the process: laid down some of the groundwork, created a few collections & sorted my sets into them, uploaded a mass of new pictures and nearly finished naming them all.

One problem is that I have so many photos; probably 10X what I currently have online. A lot of them (especially the older ones) are on the crappy side, I’m not sure how to go about it or which to exclude. Half are of Isak too, I wonder if I should only overwhelm interested family members with those ones.

I suppose I can always delete the ones I don’t want.
I feel good about finally starting this.

Boxes and Boxes. 2 years ago

I really need to sort though them all. I have quiet a few empty albums. I also need to sort though the photos on this computer. They’re so messy. Hopefully on my off day I can make some progress with this goal. I really want to order them by years taken. Some of my photos though,..I have no clue where they were taken. Wish me luck! :p

All in all 2 years ago

I’ve now spent countless hours spent organizing, printing, framing, scrapbooking, tagging & uploading.

Since this is ongoing, I’m changing it to “do again”.
