It’s only my own laundry I’m doing but as a lazy teenage girl there is a lot of it!! I hate people touching my dirty laundry… it’s embarrassing and when I see my cloths all folded and clean in my closet and drawers I nearly go through the roof! Yes, my basket is over flowing, it’s none of your damn business mom! 13 months ago

With a husband, 2 young kids, a full time job, laundry is the last thing I want to do when I get home. 3 years ago

This is now my favorite chore since I can watch tv while I do it. I have been caught up all week! 4 years ago

I used to hate this task but since I’ve been folding laundry upstairs where the TV is I love it! It’s the best chore because you get to watch tv. I am all caught up and laundry AND Oprah. 4 years ago

I am caught up on laundry. Yesterday I folded and put away the ENORMOUS pile of laundry that had built up. Yay! I have clean clothes in my closet where they belong and my spare room is clean. A double bonus. 4 years ago

I am still on top of my laundry, despite going through some pretty intense midterms. Yay! Finals are coming up, but I remain optimistic about my laundry conquering abilities. 4 years ago

I’ve stayed caught up for about 2 weeks now… yay!!! I just do a load or two every week and it doesn’t get overwhelming. 4 years ago

It’s taken around 3 days of concentrated effort, but I finally conquered the 6.5 ft. pile of laundry that accumulated during finals and during my vacation. Woot! All that’s left now is the bedding… which will be no small feat. Whew! I need some champagne. 4 years ago

I’ve always had a problem with laundry but ever since we moved it’s become a crisis. We have a washer/dryer hook-up but no washer/dryer. The complex is tiny so there’s no laundry room. The only place to wash clothes is the laundromat down the street but it’s so expensive and I can’t fit more than 2 or 3 loads in the car with all three kids. I have a pile of dirty laundry so high I have to climb over it to get to my room. I’ve begun just giving things away! I already took several bags to Goodwill and I have more to go. If I don’t get a washing machine soon, I’ll have no clothes left! 5 years ago

I came up with a new plan. I washed all the un-necessary stuff first. Usually I do the clothes and towels first so if I run out of time or energy I have what I need. But I always end up with a pile of linens and bedspreads that never get done. So this time I got all the big bulky things done first and eliminated the option of not finishing. Would have worked great except I ran out of quarters and laundry soap midway through. But at least I have all the extras out of the way so I only have 6 or 7 loads of clothes left! :*) 5 years ago

Just got a notice today from the management. The cost of washing clothes is going up to $1.75. As if I didn’t hate it enough! 5 years ago

I really don’t think I can manage this goal. There’s just SO MUCH!! I would have to do at least one, possibly two loads a day to really keep up. And that requires carrying it all downstairs and across the complex, then waiting and waiting for an open machine. Of course, my only other option is to spend precious weekend time at a public laundromat in the stifling heat doing ten loads at once. I’d seriously consider selling my soul for a washer and dryer of my own. 5 years ago

Never gonna happen. Although with 2 adults, 2 kids, and a baby in a small apartment, dirty clothes can really take up a lot of living space. I can’t seem to stay on top of it. There’s just so much of it! By the time I get it all washed, folded, and put away, there’s another load or two to be done! This is by far my least favorite of all chores. 5 years ago

i am already slacking with this goal, have about 5 loads waiting to be done, and just can not get myself motivated, maybe it is the fact that doing laundrey means i have to wash half of it here at home, and the other half at the laundrynette, and that i have to hang it to dry, or go bring the wet cloth to the laundynette and dry them there, i guess i resent the fact that i seem to be the only peron in this house who is able to use the washing maschine. If one more person asks me ” when are you doing cloth ” i will explode! 5 years ago

There are only 4 people in this house, allof which are perfectly capable of doing laudry, but when Saturday rolls around, you’de swear there was an army living here! I can’t belive all the laundry that pile up in a week.
SSoooo. I am going to make a habit of washing one load of laundry a night. And I am also going to teachmy 12 year old, how to use the washer and dryer.
A rule I wish people would abide by, if you wash it, you dry it, and you fold it and you put it away! Quit taking thinkgs out of the dryer and putting it in a basket and then leaving it for me to put away, cuz it ain’t gonna happen!
We’ll see how long that rule lasts! :) 6 years ago
