I am one of those people who never treats myself…seriously. It’s so stupid. All I want is a cute little MP3 player, to hold a few hundred songs…nothing fancy. No tricks. I don’t need video or anything crazy…just something I can listen to while running, working out, or what have you.
There’s a cute one on sale across the street. Exactly what I need, and not expensive. I’m going to go pick it up now. :) 2 years ago

My first MP3 player was a cute little one from Sony. It only held 500 songs so I was constantly deleting some to put on new songs.
I was given an Ipod touch as a gift Christmas 2007. After I figured out how to use it I never leave home without it. It has my music, some tv shows, games, and I can even go on line with it. My alarm clock is also my ipod charger. Every night it gets charged. Every morning I wake up to a song I want to hear.
My advice is to get the most memory that you can afford. If you are anything like me, you never know what musical mood will hit you and you want to be prepared. 4 years ago

I’ve been thinking about getting a Sansa View-I like their wheel better than any of the others I’ve tried(I can’t seem to use an IPod for the life of me) and I love that they take microSD cards—only problem is you can’t use them with last.fm, and it’s too new for Rockbox. Why is there no mp3 player out there that really seems to work for me? 5 years ago

I went shopping on Boxing Day and finally got myself an MP3 player! I thought I would get an Ipod instead but realized that it is the same and that it’s just the name that is different. Ipod’s are the new kids on the block and much more pricey. However, in time I’m sure I will get one as well. 5 years ago

I’ve never owned a portable mp3 player of any description. I’ve just been a bit lazy I suppose. I always used to carry my walkman and my huge sennheiser headphones around with me everywhere I went. It’s so good to listen to music while walking, and I had to do a lot of that. Two years ago when I got my moped I suppose I started using it less and less, but now that I’m walking everywhere again it would be great to have one.
I think my friend has bought me a small one as a late birthday present (hooray!). I think I might ask my family to buy me one with lots of storage space for Christmas too, then I can use the little one for exercising. 5 years ago

I want to get an MP3 player so I can take my music everywhere I go. Sure beats the old CD player! Just keeping up with the younger generation. 5 years ago

I got a Creative Zen V Plus(I think the same one as 7Jennex, even the same colors) back in December… I couldn’t think of a better way to spend $100. I do want the Vision M, though, because the V Plus only has 2GB. The better one is about $230, I think, so I’ll be saving up for awhile. 5 years ago

I was looking into buying myself the ipod shuffle because it’s affordable and I don’t know how much space I would use anyway, but my boyfriend caught wind of this and started hinting about a better one. He just called asking if the size is that important and we basically agreed that the one with video is the best because for “only a few dollars difference” you may as well get it. It comes in black and white, I said I would rather have white. He said I’m getting this for “Christmas” and chuckled. I’m almost certain this is my Valentine’s day gift. Well, he better not make me wait ‘til Christmas!!!!! 6 years ago

At the ECU Halloween party at Mendenhall a few years ago, the DJ was giving away an MP3 player. ‘Anyone have a 1973 penny?’ Two of us did, so we went on to the next round. ‘Do either of you have an [I forget]? How about a [something else]? No…do you have a hairpin?’
He was probably trying to help out the young girl I was competing with, but I had a hairpin and she didn’t.
I sent the MP3 player to my brother in Africa. 6 years ago

My original goal was to get an iPod, but I ended up settling for a small 1 gig mp3 player. It’s easier for carying around exercising, which was the main reason I wanted to get an mp3. The one gig doesn’t bother me either, I don’t need to have my whole cd collection loaded onto it to be happy, I just update it every once in a while with new songs I like replacing ones i’m tired of.
But yeah. Worth it. 6 years ago

I had taken it from my parents, because they wouldn’t be able to understand how it worked, saying something like “I’ll try to understand how it works and will bring it back to you”.
Today I explained them that it was to small (you can only put 3 or 4 CDs on it) for them (they want to use it for their desert trips…) and that they’d better leave it to me and buy a good one. Which is absolutely true, who do you think I am ?
Anyway, now it’s officially mine. 6 years ago

It really is worth it. I asked for one for my birthday because I figured it would be cool to have and because it would be much more convenient than carrying a cd player and a bunch of CDs on vacation. Since getting it though, it really has been worth it. I listen to it all the time. I got a Phillips, not an IPod. I got this one because it has a radio, and the iPods dont. Its awesome, Id definitely recommend getting one. 6 years ago

Music and dance are two favourite parts of my life that bring me happiness. I want to get myself and ipod so that i can go out running and take it with me whilst i run or listen to tony robbins whilst i work out! I think this is the perfect tool for self-fulfilment, and it’s going to be my first treat to myself for when i have saved the £600.00 i need to move to surrey to live with my boyfriend. 7 years ago
