Do something about my hair

I’m someone who used to change my hair style completely every few months. (above is a pic of me at my best friends wedding, a couple of years back) I’ve done every shade of red there is, I’ve had my hair multiple colors at once, I’ve had it a dark purple, black, blonde, brown, auburn, different lengths and styles, Bettie bangs, side swept bangs, Permed, straight, every style and whim I decided I wanted. (I’ve added a cross-section of some of my hairstyles to my pics)

But a couple of years ago I decided the style that I hadn’t done in forever was just long luxurious hair, nothing fancy, just long hair in just a simple auburn. It seemed so simple and that would actually be a radical look for me. Also it was a chance to grow out the damage from the bleach blond I had for a while.

So now a couple of years later I’m am sooo bored with it. I have accomplished it and it’s beautiful but it takes so much work and time. I miss the fun funky little styles I used to do and the vintage curls and hair rolls that’s so hard to accomplish with hair this long. I also bake for a living and have to keep it wrapped up so tight everyday anyway it just looks sloppy, if it was shorter it would be easier to wrap it up in a cute fashion. My roots have also grown out way too long.

It desperately needs to be fixed but I just can’t afford it right now. I’m worried about trying to make rent and pay my other bills and I’m barely making those payments. But as soon as I have a little extra cash this is high on my list.

I’m thinking I still want to keep it a good length (below my shoulders) But short enough to manage and be able to do fun things with it (it’s down to the middle of my back now). I have considered some kind of bangs, but I’m not sure. I know I want to get the layers brought way up and get some form of red and auburn, in what pattern I don’t know yet. Maybe I’ll do a streak of some other color for contrast and to help cure the boredom that I now have with my hair!!! I can’t wait!!!!

I mean look at it… I’ve had this haircut since I was 13, I used to put a lot of gel/wax in it, but nowadays I just let it hang. It’s not that I really mind, thats probably why I’ve had it like this for the last 11 years, but it makes me look like a nerd! Which I probably am a bit, but that doesn’t mean I should look like one! I want something that I dont have to put a lot of effort in, and still looks kinda hip, instead of this 90s boyband hairdo. All advice is welcome offcourse!

my hair is just a huge big messs! It used to go really curly but now it just goes frizzy and it never stays straight either! I just want normal shiny hair! I have decided to henna treatment it every week and make sure that I get it cut every six weeks! anyone got any tips on controlling really thick hair with a mind of its own?

My hair is super thin and stringy. I have to wash it every day. If I don’t, it gets really greasy. The thing is that I am sick of having super think hair. I have tried plenty of volumising products, and none seem to be helping. The only thing that works for me is blow-drying my hair with my head down. After I do that my hair is really poofy, but 5 minutes later it’s back to stringy and thin.

the more I have washed it the less red it is. It is back to being the correct color. I’ll get some industrial strength something or other to tame the dryness. I’ll let it go gray and see how it looks.

Look how thin it looks—my ex husband even commented on this (leave it to him!). I think after the holiday I might book some time with someone downtown. But who? Where is Jose Eber? is he dead?

I got my hair cut before my job interview. I said to the hairdresser “I’d like my hair cut sharp. I don’t want layers, I don’t like layers. The hairdresser was really, REALLY GOOD! She cut my hair sharp, she cut it without layers, she even told me that I could just comb it and leave it and didn’t tell me to blow dry or use product.

Fantastic!

I’ve had my hair cut, and booked another appointment for 6 weeks time.

I promise!

I booked a hair appointment last Thursday. Everything seemed okay in the salon, staff cheerful, people working, hair being cut. The very next day, one hour before my appointment, I get a phone call: “Due to an engineering problem, something to do with water, we have to move out of the salon today, and we’re setting up down the road, and we’ll call you in a week to re-book.”

What!?

On Sunday I walked past the salon and it had a For Lease sign in the window, and a handwritten note letting us all know that only authorised representatives of the real estate agency were allowed to access the premises. Weird.

So my hair is still bad.
