But I can’t change my basic personality. I am quite serious, always have been, and always will be. I like to tease my kid, joke around with my husband or friends, and be silly on occasion, but I can’t force myself into anything that doesn’t come naturally.

E decreed that we must sing everything we said. So we did.
He was inspired by the “whisper dinner” I decreed last night when I had a pounding headache. But singing was much more whimsical.

this has definitely helped. I’m All-seeing Overseer of the Subset of the Transgalactic Palindrome Club known as the Transgalactic Anagram Club (TAC, but also known as CAT or sometimes ACT) after all!

As I prepared my son’s burger roll tonight, I had the happy realization that I am a whimsical condiment applier, and not just when preparing his rolls. Whenever using a condiment contained in a squeeze bottle I have always drawn with it. Usually just a smile face, but sometimes more ambitious creations. Tonight, my roll had only smile faces, but E’s had a surprisingly good chicken on one side, and an even better duck on the other. The kid is capable of squeezing ketchup himself, but loves to see what Mom is going to draw (Usually something to do with the day. Today we went to see the animals the town keeps on some land it owns, including chickens and ducks.)

43T whimsicality counts. Duh.
Most of the time, 43T is a very useful tool for helping me figure out my priorities and keeping my focus on them.
And then other times, 43T is just a place to have foolish exchanges. 43T is fun, and lets me have fun. And if people look at me funny, I can’t see it.

he’d say I am pretty whimsical. Well, he would if he knew that word. He tells me I am silly pretty regularly, though. So I guess that much of my whimsicality is directed toward him. That’s probably because it is so rewarding. He giggles and gets silly himself. If I were silly around adults as much as I am around him, they’d probably give me odd looks and back slowly away.
This is something to think about. Ways of being whimsical among my peers without alarming them…
