I’m a sucker for fast foods. It’s quick, delicious and convenient. I have to stop eating this kind of more often. I used to eat oatmeal once a day (usually at dinner), but after a few months of doing it, I tend to put it off after seeing some improvements on my health. Now, I haven’t eaten a bowl of oatmeal in a month or 2. I have to do it all over again..bit by bit.

I’ve recently become a vegetarian, and I’m happy to say that I eat quite healthy food. This is not saying that I’m perfect (who is?) but the majority of my food are vegetables, salads, nuts/peas, fruit, and whole grains. I’m even getting my dairy products in there! (Albeit, not that much cheese…mostly milk!) Every so often, I’ll have a mini chocolate bar, or a handful of chips or french fries, but I NEVER buy any of it, and only take it when it’s offered to me (and always small portions).

So, I think we can call this one done. For now. If for some reason I backtrack, I’ll re-add it, but I honestly can’t see it. I love the feeling of being healthy! It’s beautiful!

Chocolate cake, sparkling grape juice and hamburgers don’t exactly qualify as healthy. Let’s just say…eat foods…right…

Or celery and carrots. Which is what I’ve just been eating. Dark and mysterious food of the family of vegetables. I bet you could have sex with a carrot. That was kind of random, but I bet you can. Not very cuddly in bed, that one.

I’ve found it to be so easy to fall in a rut and not eat healthy when I’m short on time. I’ve made a lot of changes to my diet, and I want to keep it up instead of sliding backwards every so often.

Why eat healthy foods? 2 years ago

Well, ask or not… It’s not exactly healthy foods I want to eat, but food that I know isn’t going to mess with my body in ways that I do not wish it to. Basically, I want to think about what goes into my body. I want to stop screwing up my body with unhealthy foods, and also stop eating just plain boring things.

I set this goal over a year ago. I haven’t quite managed to eliminate all the bad stuff. Still, I am eating a lot healthier now.

It’s difficult to change your habits, but it’s so worth it. You feel great, stronger, more in control of your health and your body. Less illnesses, more calm.
