right! i got eclipse, and then decided i hated eclipse and went back to just vi.
eclipse keeps deleting the jad files! that make the wireless toolkit very unhappy.
spent a day hunting for the Map class – - – gave up @ 4pm and started using a Hashtable.

hello world was easy enough.
expanded it out to menus.
still having difficulty with http requests – - there must be a library somewhere – seems they don’t have the same “GPL it” attitude in the java community.

Mobile, handheld devices have in fact intrigued me for quite a while now. My java compatible mobile phone, for example, usually follows me through every minute of my day. Being what it is, why not utilize it’s capabilities more and design (more or less) useful applications for it!
