My problem is that I have a very short attention span lol But the purchase of an iPod would definitely help. I tend to build up massive calf muscles fairly easily so I try to keep a good variety in my workout. But at a good, steady pace I could probably do an hour. Oinomel71’s comment is encouraging—> maybe I’m already capable of it!! :) As far as fav. workouts go, I’m definitely a runner

OK, that’s surprised me. I thought that was a goal that would need some working up to. Turns out that at a nice conservative pace, I was already capable of it. I’ll have to have a think about where my next goal in this arena is placed – it might be a faster hour, or a steeper hour, or something else entirely.
Amazing feeling to realise I was going to succeed though, and the last five minutes felt like they were on cushions of air!
The treadmills down at the local gym are locked down for maximum 20 minute spells, but it’s possible to do a near immediate follow-on. I kept it to a nice steady pace this afternoon, and did two consecutive twenties without a problem as well as the rest of my workout. “Nice steady pace” = just a smidge over 5km/3miles run in the course of the 40 minutes. I won’t rush the hour run, but I think I might already have it in me! :-)
