    Oh boy my ex-best friends family was half west indian and they weren’t big on home cooking until her grandmother came for visit and was showing us girls the ways of her meals it was a lot of fun.

    This food was really tasty 3 years ago

    There was only one veggie dish (stewed vegetables with rice) so I didn’t have much choice and it didn’t look great. It was surprisingly tasty and I will have this again. Also had a dumpling and half a pattie. Hubby had stewed beef with rice and peas.

    As I had to wait ages for the food (there was only 1 cook as the other was ill) I was given fried plantain by way of an apology. Boy was that tasty – will have that next time.
