write and illustrate a book

Okay, this is embarassing: I wrote a children’s book and then I lost it. I was really excited about it. I thought it turned out great, but it was written on a rather small notebook, and now I literally cannot find it.

I have illustrated other people’s books on a small scale, but I’ve never done one for myself. I know I have talent in the area, and I can’t figure out why I keep putting it off.

Maybe I should write a short children’s poem a day, until I find something I like, and branch off from there. Who knows, it could be a book of children’s poetry. I’m especially good at writing in verse, so that would make it go quicker.

OH WELL! IT’S SO FUN SO FAR! :)

Yesterday I wrote a children’s book? haha really really random.

My mom is a teacher so she has random teacher things, like blank hardcover books filled with blank pages, so I took one and I just started writing and I made up the story as I went and I kind of like it actually. I think I will remake it one day and better spread out the plot and stuff, but I started illustrating it last night and I will be finishing it in the next week or so hopefully.

It’s about a little girl whose garden won’t grow.

I love coloring, I’d forgotten how much I love drawing and markers and prismacolors and crayons.

I want to write another one. I think I might just make that my new hobby, because there’s an actual product that can help people so woowoo!

Well, I’ve done a few sketches… they’re not for the book but lets call them warm up. There have been some tiny germs of ideas floating around my brain, lets hope they’re catching.
