Time to learn something new and useful. Seems the world keeps turning.
Not worth it!
i worked with ASP for a few months, and i don’t ever want to go back to that haha. PHP and Ruby on Rails are more my thing

...It’ll be used for forever, but you don’t want to be the one using it. Maintenance of an ASP application is about as fun as a kick to the teeth. I’m a web developer for a living, and I use ASP/VB on a daily basis. I can tell you without a doubt that it is not meant for enterprise web development. VB has few built-in libraries for doing everyday tasks, like parsing a URL or automating unit testing.
Not only is it decidedly not fun to use, but it’s obsolete as well. Microsoft has declared Visual Basic dead, and won’t be maintaining it. My company got fed up with Microsoft’s shenanigans, and so is switching all our apps over to JavaEE. Honestly, if you’re planning on doing web development for a career, I would personally learn Java and JavaEE.
If you want something newer and sexier, try Ruby on Rails. The framework does a ton of work for you, and everything is organized very intelligently.
Note that if you’re talking about ASP.NET, that is a different story. I’ve heard good things, but have never personally used it. I am honestly impressed with C#, but have only used it to develop desktop apps and nothing on the web.
Worth doing!
yes I have learned asp, and it is pretty much the same as php, but easier. I also have learned to use Dreamweaver to create the asp for me which is brilliant.

Well I went to college to be a Web Developer, got a diploma and had a 3.79 gpa. I kept asking when we were going to learn ASP but the school couldn’t find an instructor so I was Gipped. I knew that ASP was in High demand and that most jobs required it. So now I do freelance web design, Because big companies want more knowledge than I posses. So its Logical I Want to learn ASP. Might be going back to college in the fall for this course.
Worth doing!
And probably the one I enjoyed learning the most.
