Gee, when WalMart first opened, the emphasis was on goods MADE IN THE USA! Not anymore. I stopped over 2 years ago and have not been back.

I Have stop shopping at walmart almost 5 years Now ! And I’m Trying to find some Anti Walmart Groups in Michigan
loveonrepeat I wish that I could just be brave.
Not shopping at Wal-Mart was one of my resolutions for New Years 2008 and while I failed spectacularly at everything else, I somehow managed this resolution. This was partly due to the fact that I was out of a job for most of the year and when you’re broke, even Wal-Mart isn’t cheap enough. But also, I just plain stopped going there. I only purchased items there twice last year and once was because The shithole Eagles made that exclusive deal with Wal-Mart & Sams Club. Otherwise I would have just bought their album – a gift for my Dad – at Target or Amazon. The only thing I would even go to Wal-Mart for these days are their store brand of makeup removal wipes and sewing supplies. And since they’ve seriously culled their sewing department, I really only need the wipes. Hopefully with a bit of searching I can find a decent alternative to them and then I can forget about Wal-Mart forever.
I went into Wal-Mart earlier this week for the first time and I have to say, I don’t miss it at all. I found myself wandering aimlessly and I couldn’t find anything I was looking for. I thought maybe it would be worth it to go there and save a bit but in the end, I left frustrated. The experience just reminded me yet again why I quit shopping there in the first place.
Good riddance.
I STILL haven’t shopped at Wal-Mart. I haven’t even set foot in the place. It’s not difficult to do! Just avoid and triumph:)
I just watched a documentary about WalMart called “WalMart: The High Cost Of Low Prices” by Robert Greenwald. I previously knew and have seen documentation of how corrupt, and greed ridden all things behind WalMart are but not like this. I highly recommend it to all who are thinking about the move to stop shopping at WalMart. That’s not to say that it’s solely because they close all the mom and pop’s down. It’s ineveitable to see large companies do this with the current fast pace of today’s society. But the greed and darkness that spawn such immoral and unethical business practices makes me so mad. When I say WalMart is evil. I don’t mean it like some desperately trendy youngster would, I truly mean the men and women behind the doors in Bentonville are truly dark, cold, evil people. They have done so many things, even to the point that it has cost people their lives. Like having cameras setup in the parking lots that caught a rape/murder in the parking lot but were not at first released because the cameras were only there to spy on employees thought to be unioninzing?! That got me real fired up, not to mention the tireless efforts of millions of Chinese to make hundreds of shitty toys daily while they only make 3.00 for the whole 12 14 hour day. Drives me nuts. Plus the fucking Walton’s are the richest family on the planet! Who the fuck wants to make them richer? DONT GO TO WALMART! There are other one stop retailers you can go to who are much more ethical and care about other things besides money. And that my friend is all Wal~Mart, or should I say the Walton’s and Lee Scott care about, making as much money as possible as, quickly as possible, without returning any of it back into what makes them the money in the first place DONT GO TO WAL MART!!!

Ok, one month later, and I haven’t stepped inside a Walmart! It’s been really great, and I don’t miss it at all. I’m looking at keeping this up indefinitely, so it’s marked as “done.”

Yesterday I just got fed up with Wal-Mart. It’s always out of control when I go there, and when I absolutely need something they don’t have it. I’ll miss walking around and looking at all the fun stuff they have, but my sanity is more important.
I’m going to not shop at Wal-Mart for one month, and hopefully longer.
Every Wal-mart is a total dump, and everything they sell is crap. I just needed to pick up a few things the other day, and figured I’d just stop in a Wal-mart since I was driving by. I didn’t realize all the horror I’ve been missing by not shopping there. Everything for sale looked like it fell off the back of a truck, and I don’t know how anyone can endure that place for more than a few minutes. I walked out empty-handed due to frustration of not being able to find what I wanted. I’ll stick with Target. They are good to their employees… and there are actually floor tiles, carpet, ceilings, and decoration, instead of an empty warehouse.

Pokomoke City, MD. Today a pregnant mom and her two children are to be laid to rest after having been struck and killed while crossing US Route 13 to go shopping.
I guess that there are a wide variety of costs associated with saving money. The “huge box” stores seem to always be located in high traffic areas such as along busy highways. In the days before saving a nickel to buy products from China, she’d have walked down the street to the store. Today, those stores are mostly closed and all that remains are the survivors of the retail wars were size equates to buying power and market share.
Shop local.
It wasn’t always like this. It doesn’t always have to be this way.
