Almost quit going to class because everything else is going stray for me right now. But I went last night and we worked with veils which really made me happy. The instructor invited us to stay for the 2nd class (advanced) and work with the veils free of charge. So, that was awesome. Also she invited us to a festival this Sunday at her Buddhist temple.
It’s been something like 10 weeks now. I am still really enjoying the classes. I feel like I am getting a little better and starting to get in shape, but I need to practice more. I want to continue with this goal.
Have had one month of classes so far! I am loving Belly Dancing and I have a scarf ordered from Ebay that should arrive this week!
Belly Dancing
I started Belly Dancing classes Monday. I almost chickened out and was VERY nervous because if you know me well, then you know that this is not something I would normally do. I always want to do things like this but I chicken out or find excuses not to do it.
But, I went and I paid for 3 weeks so I will feel obligated to go now. lol But I am glad I went, I had a great time, I was not self-conscious at all, and I can’t wait to go back! It was so much fun, so supportive, and so informal. Maybe one day I wll be good enough to stay for the advance class!
And thanks to my husband for being supportive and encouraging and for watching the kids while I go out and get this one hour a week for me. (but ofc course he is supportive…what man would say no to his girl wanting to learn bellydancing? lol)

Worth doing!
I feel incredibly powerful tonight. What a powerful experience it was to take my first Belly Dancing Class EVER and yes, indeed, I will be taking more!
So, it took me awhile to get there.. YES! and now, I am hooked.
They didn’t let us take photos of class, but Coryn and I waited downstairs at Dagny’s, which was fun in and of itself.

Coryn invited me to join her in a belly dancing class. It was supposed to be tomorrow night! I was looking at a TRIFECTA of wondrous activities…. Belly Dancing… Poetry group… Karaoke… (and then there is always that PS because Hunka Hunka Burnin’ Love will be there)... SO ANYWAY! I was psyched…
and then Belly Dancing class got cancelled for tomorrow and next week is the fourth of July so I am out of luck for two more weeks… argh.
Went to another workshop with my friend and had more fun. I think I’m almost ready to commit to classes next year! The movements are getting easier and they’ll get even easier once I start going regularly (or at the very least practicing regularly).
Took another tribal fusion workshop. To be honest, I don’t like it. But it’s hard to like something when you are completely awful at it. So I’m going to stick with it because once it looks like I’m not constipated doing the movements, I know I’ll love it.
