what's the point?  — 4 months ago

It’d be cool I guess, but I don’t plan on losing my left arm during my lifetime. I’m dropping this from my list…

i don’t know if this applies to your feet, but i play soccer and my left foot is not as good as i want it to be. A while a go i injured my right foot but still played and used my left foot. over the few weeks i began to get pretty good with the left but after my right healed i return to using it all the time. I need to improve my left.

both hands  — 6 months ago

i would love to be able to do everything with either hand
that would just rock
to be able to choose what one i would rather use.

i decided to write a page everyday with my left hand. my handwriting is pretty decent. my mother likes it more than the way i write with my right hand. the biggest problem is that i write very slowly. i need pracice. i hope it’ll get better in ..maybe half a year.

some people i know find this goal unbelievably stupid and useless. but it’s not. for me it’s like if you lost something and now you’re trying to get it back, because you need it, because you just have to. it’s awful that somebody decided for me that i should write with my right hand instead of the left one.

even though i’m a right-handed individual, i was born left-handed.
i was taught to write and do things with my right hand because at the time when i was a kid being left-handed was considered abnormal and wrong. i had the most horrible handwriting ever till the age of 16.
i still can write with my left hand. not as good as with my right hand, though. and i write very slow with it.
i wish to write equally good with my both hands.

I Have To...  — 7 months ago

I have to learn to write wih my left hand in just 3 weeks because i have broken my right one. I will need to do my exams with my left hand and it takes me forever to write a word.
Tips anyone?

just do it!  — 9 months ago

Worth doing!

I found doodling with my non-dominant hand very helpful in improving my coordination with it.

Perform the intended action with whatever hand you pick an item up with! The more I worked on using both hands, the more I found my self simply picking something up with my non-dom, and simply using it. Whatever hand you ‘mindlessly’ pick up something with, just use it with that hand!

The hardest part isn’t using the non-dominant hand, but in getting the dominant one to play a “supporting role” correctly. Keep both hands in mind!

Writing with Left Hand  — 10 months ago

I practiced writing random words I thought of or saw on things lying on my desk with my left hand. It’s slower, kinda slanted, and a little bit sloppier than my normal writing, but at least it’s legible. ;)

Getting better with the left hand  — 11 months ago

I can use it for most things now. I can even use it to eat now! I just can’t use it to write yet. Almost there on that one too though. Workin on it.
