Lauryn is trying not to lose her mind
i tried to write the alphabet—uppercase as well as lowercase—with my left hand. i successfully completed capital letters A through E. then, for some reason, i wrote the next three letters as XTR. either i need to go back to kindergarten, or i had the word “ambidEXTRous” stuck in my head. which was it? me being stupid? or me being careless? or… BOTH? you decide. (:

Lauryn is trying not to lose her mind
i wrote “i am practicing being ambidextrous” three times, once in cursive, once in all caps, and once in normal sized letter things. all three failed miserably, although i might add that the cursive was relatively legible.

Lauryn is trying not to lose her mind
i am 100% right handed. when i try and draw with my left hand, it looks like 2 year old scribbles. or worse. when i try and print, every letter is a different size. finally, when i try and write cursive with my left hand, it doesn’t look like english. in fact, it doesn’t even look human. D:

I hear they give scholarships if you’re ambidextrous! Plus ambidextrous probably comes in handy in some occasion or if you’re trying to show off.

I’ve been writing with both hands since elementary. Scribbles to clear writing.

AMGL wonders if staying here is a good idea.
I will be trying to put this into practice, but for now, I really want to leave on my profile page those goals which I am working on to complete 100 percent.

I added this goal because I do believe that using my left hand will stimulate my right brain hemisphere more. And I want to be more creative. I have tried writing with my left hand, with disastrous results. But when I am doing housework or moving objects around, I am trying to use my left hand more.

One wants the ability to take pens in both hands and write backwards and forwards simultaneously. (You either have the skill or you don’t.) If you can do this, you begin the heady access to the world of Leonardo. Bon voyage!

I’ve moved my mouse to my left hand side – didn’t take long to get used to this. Trying to switch other things in a similar fashion. Oddly, my wife thinks my left handed writing is almost as good as my right (but painfully slow), but that is more a comment on the atrociousness of my normal handwriting rather than my left hand being good (a couple of months ago she saw something I had written in a book when I was 5 and thought it looked the same – she is a primary school teacher so should know!)

It’d be cool I guess, but I don’t plan on losing my left arm during my lifetime. I’m dropping this from my list…
