How I did it: Studying and personal sacrifices. Could I go out and party with my friends every single weekend? Pssht, no. Could I sleep on school nights? No. Could I have a lunch period? Phaha, nope. It was hell.
My life consisted of a constant stream of coffee/espresso running through my veins, with 24+ hours of sleep each weekend.
Also, I knew when to take a break. The night before the US History test, I went two states away for a concert. Cramming at that point was nearly pointless - luckily I still pulled a five. Your scores are pretty much set a few weeks before the test, there's no way to go from a one to a five in a week.
When I sat down for the Human Geography test, which I didn't even take a class in, I skimmed the review book the night before. It seemed easy, but I managed to get a three only because I didn't take the time to learn what the course was about.
I studied a lot, but then again, I did have outside knowledge. That's what really allowed me to do it.
Lessons & tips: Don't give up! As long as it's possible, do it.
Resources: Countless AP review books saved me. Really.
I ended up getting all 3’s on my AP tests, but I PASSED! :D
My senior year of high school ‘08 I took 4 AP courses. During my junior year, I only took 1 and got a 2 on my ONE AP test.

AP chem and AP bio…. Not so much Spanish but oh well. Honestly just take the classes to learn how YOU learn. High school doesn’t really matter so learn the skills you will need to do successful in college. Taking the class was worth it, passing isn’t important hence why it’s not worth it. Although the only AP exam I really care about passing is Spanish, it would be nice to pass ap chemistry and biology too. I get a lot of work already so it is hard for me to sit down and spend even more time concentrating on just the test. Soon I will buy an AP Spanish book and crack down on studying.
I want to pass all of my AP tests this year. I didn’t pass physics last year,... so no credit… But, if I study really hard, I might be able to do it!
I won’t know until July. But I took AP world history and I think I did well- it was pretty easy. But with the Multiple Choice, I thought that they’d tell us that we have 10 minutes left, but they didn’t, causing me to misgauge my time and not finish! I missed six! The essays were easy peasy though. I won’t know until June/July- but I’m just happy that my nervous panic attacks have ceased.
