Expand my music tastes

I love diverse styles, but sometimes I’m just a ninny pinny and don’t think they will be good so I pass them up. Time to stop and listen to the roses.

I think I’ve got pretty extensive tastes as is, but I need to learn more about these other types I’m getting into…I love Howlin’ Wolf and Muddy Waters but I don’t know anything about the blues other than having a vague idea that they’re part of the “chicago blues.” I listen to jazz but don’t know anything about anything when it comes to jazz. I listen to reggae and dub but only know very basic stuff like Bob Marley, Toots & the Maytals, King Tubby & Scientist…and I’m frustrated with my utter lack of knowledge in all these areas.
