I’ve been dealing with depression most of my adult life, especially when it comes to my self image (and self worth). But this summer I hit the beach in a bikini, and felt pretty proud of myself.

I went swimming the other day with some friends in a bikini for the first time in, I don’t know how many years. Fortunately, I felt pretty damn hot in my two piece, and everyone there agreed, especially after losing a whopping 50 pounds! 28 more to go.

Ok, now that I’ve slimmed down, I tried shaving my bikini line and it was red and irritated and bumpy and I couldn’t wear it anyway. It sucked.

Just bought a bikini that actually looks good. Just have to look a little better in it. I have a chance to wear it on monday, going to the beach for memorial day, but maybe I won’t be ready by then. But, maybe I will :D Doing abs, butt and leg exercises every day, and biking for about 1:40 a day (biking to work and back daily). I should also watch what I eat (a coworker advised me to lay off the bread and sugar), but then I wouldn’t be able to bike. I ate nothing but carbs today: oatmeal for breakfast, a smoothie through the day and pasta for dinner. I did however bike for 1:40 and did aerobic exercise for around half an hour. I hope I burned it off. I will try to cut down on those things tomorrow.
