With the new systemic changes in my digestive tract, can’t have yogurt for awhile. Too bad, so sad!
I was kind of a big yoghurt eater back in the States, but ever since I’ve been in China, it hasn’t been the same for several reasons:
1) The refrigerator isn’t really cold enough to make things last very long
2) It’s impossible to find yoghurt that has not been sweetened.
3) Most yoghurt is drinkable rather than eatable, which makes it hard to mix in things like apricots and almonds.
But anyway, I’m know that it’s good for me, even if it’s not as good as back home, so I’ll try to make it a habit to buy a cup of yoghurt most days on my way home from the gym.
In addition, I would like to start taking my Calcium pills daily.
so this may be a pretty unexciting goal for browsers of 43things, but it’s cool to me because i get to make progress every day. since we ran out of milk the other day, i’ve been making yogurt and cereal my morning ritual. note to self (and readers, if any): black cherry yogurt? ICK! particularly if it’s “fruit at the bottom” style. pretty well disgusting. but i’ve gotten through that little obstacle, and i think i’m a stronger yogurt-consumer for it. 2 cheers for live cultures!
1) off-brand peach yogurt with lunch (“light”). fruit at the bottom is just not the way to go anymore. i like it all mixed in better these days.
2) a strange fudge/berry swirl frozen yogurt for dessert tonight! it was a little too sweet, but tasty. next time i’ll have it without the cookies. ;)
ate a raspberry yogurt today with lunch. goodie for me! also bought some frozen yogurt for after-dinner desserts, on days when regular old yogurt doesn’t turn me on.
go superfood!
