I can name on all my digits the productions I’ve been in, but I still tend to get type-casted.
What will it take for people to see that I can be a dramatic actress, too? Not just a ditzy one, or the she-that-plays-a-he.
Don’t even get me started on the dominatrix roles. While amusing for the audience, I don’t like them in particular, but if the choice is between that and not being on stage, well.
I like being on stage, that is for sure.

Saturday I auditioned for “Come Blow Your Horn” by Neil Simon, at a community theatre in Stanwood, and a couple hours later they called back and cast me as Peggy (who I read for), the ditzy pretty chick, lol.
:-D
Yay !

I love theatre so much.
I think I have done all the classes at my college in the theatre department, lol.
Except for some internship thingy.
I’m not sure what that is.
It’s not a regular class…
Anyway.
I’m in a play right now.
“The Seven Year Itch” with Edmonds Driftwood Players.
It’s so fun!
I love it!
Albeit, I have a small part with like 13 lines LOL!, it’s still such a wonderful experience!!!
It’s my first community theatre I’ve done, too!
And was my first theatre audition!
:-D
Ooh, I must remember:
I need to get headshots.
I need to find some good monologues.
Before this play, I was in four productions at my community college.
A set of one-acts by Christopher Durang [a comedy playwrite], a set of musical scenes/songs [“And All That Jazz,” “Coffee Break,” “Anything Goes,” and “Time Warp”], “Dear Brutus” by J.M. Barrie, and “Rashomon” by Fay and Michael Kanin.
Allllll so much fun!!!
This quarter they are probably doing, “The Count of Monte Cristo.”
I hope I can be in it with a good part!!!
:-D
We’ll see… we’ll see…
Maybe I will take like Theatre 101 again, just for fun…
It’s lots of improv and scene work and stuff.
And would be a good refresher… and FUNNNNNN as heck!!!
Especially since I’ve definitely grown as an actor.
The first time I took that class was like 2 years ago… it was one of my first classes at the college… and I was WAYYY shy since I knew like nobody and stuff.
And now I know more people and like I LOVE the theatre instructor!
She’s like my acting idol!
Lol.
Okay, longgg post.
I’ll end it now.
