Recently I went to a company retreat and at the feared moment of social mixing afterwards, I was spellbound by the voice of Ethyl. The person I thought of as the maintenance lady transformed before my eyes. Her voice was so amazing the way it seemed to have so much depth and mischievousness. Apparently she has been performing around town for years. Now my life goal is to take voice lessons to prepare for the day when I can see myself in a slinky dress belting it out to a bunch of strangers in some smoky lounge.
