I lack time for looking into smalltalk. Ruby, Objc and C++ suits my needs pretty good.

Smalltalk is undeniably the best language/system/environment I have ever used.

I keep going back to it.. hopefully it will stick this time.

OK, I guess I've learned it 3 years ago

enough and I’ll replace this with “master Smalltalk”. After all, I’ve written a few apps and libraries. The part I don’t know is the freaky stuff in the runtime.

Of course, I already know quite a lot 3 years ago

But only from the perspective of an application developer. There are still large parts of the system I don’t understand and I want to. It seems a never ending journey.

My introduction to OOP 3 years ago

More than a decade ago I chose Smalltalk the language to get my hands dirty with as I crossed the bridge from procedural to OO programming.

It was well worth it even though I never ended up doing much Smalltalk commercially. Despite the difference in syntax, Smalltalk gave me a good grouding to learn Java and now that I’m improving my Ruby I’m definitely glad that I learnt Smalltalk all those years ago!

Please avoid playing before a teach 3 years ago

I was surfing over the Internet before a course of smalltalk. That’s why I added this stupid entry… hum do not forget:

“Dans Smalltalk tout est objet”

What means in English :

“In Smalltalk, eveything is object”

I hate it 4 years ago

but i wish I could do it
