We finally met, after setting the time and place via YM. I was so caught up with work, good thing she sms’ed me to reconfirm.
We agreed to meet at MPH, a local bookstore at a nearby mall. Sam arrived soon after and we greeted each other (a bit nervously, I must say, for me) and proceeded to Dome for drinks. We settled down fairly quickly and chatted casually about the day (mostly mine, which was stressful due to a recent disaster at the office) and exchanged details on how Sam finally landed a job here after years abroad.
It was obvious we had a lot in common; fave TV shows (she’s into GA too!!), the same taste in movies (we both thot MI3 was cool) and live performances (acapella, classical concerts, etc). But the best part was the pair of earrings she gave me. It was a very pretty trinket which Sam made herself. I was so touched by that kind gesture and figured I must do justice to it soon ;)
Nways, we do plan to hang out again soon. We’ve made pacts to swop TV shows (GA for her and Joey & ANTM for me!!) and probably, go to her fave Starbucks and have proper coffee this time around. Am thinking it shouldn’t be too hard, since she works and lives just around the corner near my office. Gosh, it really is a small world after all.. :)
