Physically or metaphorically.
Well. Sorting out my physical stuff would probably make walking around the house somewhat easier and possibly less hazardous (those people that wait around shopping centres from the ‘have you had an accident you want to make a claim for?’ places that advertise on daytime tv have actually located their new office in my driveway.
I’m slovenly :(
Metaphorically -I have some stuff that could do with sorting. I decree this The Goal Of The Week.

Everything seems to have got in a state again. I went charity shopping the other day and there’s stuff everywhere. I seem to ahve forgotton that the general idea atm is to give away MY old stuff, not purchase OTHER PEOPLE’S.
I was just thinking how much I hate iPods. I feel like a slave to it. Always thinking about what new tunes to download, that niggling concern in the back of my head that I’ve lost it or one of the stupidly identical wires you can’t tell which is the charger and which is the USB when they’re tangled on the floor.
I’m in a quote-y mood this morning. The one to the right of me atm is quite lovely in its own way-
“Happiness is not a station you arrive at, but a manner of travelling.”

Not really on the theme of sorting stuff out but it’s my post and what I say goes ok.
Cleared through several boxes last weekend and another one today. The flat now looks reasonably tidy. Still a few more boxes of bits to finish sorting through, but it’s now mostly done. Hurrah!
Binned a load of stuff today. Then my mate Emma rang to say she was popping round. The flat is basically uninhabitable at the moment, given the sheer amount of Stuff in every room, so I bunged a load in the basement and a stacked up a few boxes behind the sofa so it didn’t look too bad. Not sure this quite counts as “sorting out” stuff, but the place looks a bit more presentable.
I’ve taken a couple of bags of books to the charity shop. Not sure how I feel about this. I’m a bit of a book hoarder. I think my ideal flat would have a library. I’ve still got shelves full of books and piles that won’t fit, and I’m keen to hang on to as many books as possible. Even so, to make some space, I’ve got rid of a few. Hopefully they will find a nice home.
Also took a few more bags of clothes, and have made a bit more progress with the kitchen.
Cupboard arrived yesterday, so I’ve been unpacking my bedroom. Took a sack of clothes to the charity shop, with another bagful to go later today.
Having moved flats, I have large amounts of Stuff in boxes that needs Sorting Out. As I moved, I was amazed by just how much I’d accumulated. Quite a lot of Stuff has lived in cupboards for the last five years, and not been looked at. I need a more ruthless approach. I’m hoping I can give away, recycle or, if necessary, throw away about a quarter of the Stuff I’ve moved in with to create a bit more space.
