How to travel to cambodia
How I did it: Traveled there and loved it, a little scary as there doesn't seem to be much law there.. but after a bit of cuture shock I felt alot more comfortable. Angkor Wat was amazing, and it was good to spend money in a cou try far less fortunate that ours... brought toys with me to give out to children. it was a great experience.
Lessons & tips: don't pay much head to travel warnings.. its usally the media that makes things far worse than they really are..

Going to cambodia next year for a month to help children learn english! I know this seems like a long time away. But I’m already crapping it!
Week two of my Trip to Thailand will be heading into Cambodia to see the slights and I’ll be bringing along an old suitcase full of goodies like crayons, coloring books, toys etc to visit a school/orphanage and give them away to those less fortunate than me.. I know there’s alot more than that I could do, but gotta start somewhere right… I really think more people should do this and I’ve made myself a promise that whenever traveling to third world country I’m going to make a consious effort to be mindful and repectful of their culture, help in a way I can, and not be just another ignorant tourist.
Cambodia has always been THE place to go for me. Don’t know exactly why, but I think that the lack of tourism in comparison to other countries is very compelling to me. When I’m going, I’m going for at least a month, so there is a lot of money and some planning to do. But it will definitely be done within a couple of years!
