I just put myself on the waitlist for the local P-Patch. This way, if I get in this year, I’ll be able to grow my annual vegetables while reconfiguring the raised beds at my own house this summer. But what I’m really looking forward to is meeting more of my neighbors. It looks like a nice scene down there.

I introduced myself today to one of the women in my yoga class who seems really cool. It turns out that we’re in the same neighborhood, and we’re into a lot of the same stuff. I look forward to getting to know her better!
Although we have relatives (in-laws for me) within a few miles, we have moved to a new town and I know NO ONE. There is a lady who works the same shift and has the same days off I do, and we work at the same place, but she is not technically in the neighborhood. She’s what we call “down the road a piece”.
Is it me, or are lots of people taking this as looking for a dating relationship? That is not my intent…I’d just like to be able to say “Hi, (insert neighbor’s name)” i/o “Hi Neighbor”, KWIM?
IT IS BETTER BECAUSE YOULL WATCH EACH OTHERS BACK (HOUSES AND SUCH) LOL..THERE USUALY ARE YOUR BESTS BUDDIES..YOU CAN RELY ON THEM MORE
All of my friends live an hour away because that’s basically where my life and work is at.
Either I need to move or get some friends around here.. Oh well.
Moved into our new house and new area nearly 2 years ago. No-one seems very friendly or even came to welcome us when we first moved in. Would like to meet some people and perhaps even make some friends by the end of the year!
I’m trying to do this as well, but it’s hard. I just chatted with Sally and her dog Hailey this afternoon on my way out to the garbage cans. I’ll keep trying.
