Glad I went. I think I could really get into it actually. I really hurt 48 hours afterwards but want to go again for sure.
Girlfight!!
How I did it: I watched boxing with the "guys" in the family growing up. The "guys" are no longer with us and I really missed the sport. I was always curious to know if I could do it. The film, "Million Dollar Baby" inspired me. So did "Girl Fight." I thought that if she could do it, so could I. I then decided to google my area for a strictly boxing gym and boxer's from my area. I was lucky to find a former championship boxer that would provide private training. I did not want to be in a group. I was determined to advance and I believe I did that by working one on one. I still box and wouldn't give it up for anything!

Girlfight!!
I have always been sporty and wanted really a focus for my fitness…seeing as I bike about 5 hours to and from work a week! The final 2 things that made me want to box was …
1. Watching Girlfight!
2. Women’s boxing being allowed at the Olypics…so it will be here on my doorstep in 2012!
I took the plunge and phoned my local club yesterday expecting to be told that women are not allowed. Instead he was pretty helpful and told me that places now have to make provisions for women wanting to box.
I need a foucs away from my anxiety and depression….and away from feeling inadequate in my new job. I hope it can boost my self-esteem as well as improve my fitness and body tone.

I’m all about agressive sports. I have no idea why. I’ve done sword fighting, karate, and kickboxing. And i like the idea that i’ll be able to defend myself.

Visceralle 's exams are nearly over!
I’m not sure how good I would be at this type of exercise, as I’m quite slow and fall over a LOT.
But I’ve always enjoyed watching boxing with my Grandda since I was small, so hopefully it might be an exercise regime I could stick to.
This goal may have been transformed into a stint with the Guardian Angels, instead. It may be that I will join the GA, and patrol the streets of LA, in an effort to become more comfortable with confrontation
Josh ...and life just rolls on like a river.
The workout went really well at the gym, and I think I’m a good fit. Hopefully I’ll stay motivated to continue down this path. I really enjoy it, and it’s a killer workout.
Josh ...and life just rolls on like a river.
I’ve been working out pretty regularly on my own with this, and tomorrow is my first day in an actual boxing gym. Hopefully this is something I stick with.
