I have been going through hard time in my life, recently, and came across an unlikely friend. It seemed ironic and meaningful that while at this person’s home, I asked to borrow some novels, as I would be unable to visit a library within the next few weeks. One of the books my friend quietly tucked into my back was this: Random Acts of Kindness by the Editors of Conari Press. Having finished the book in a few hours, I promptly calle back my friend to thank him for the book, and have begun following the novel’s advice. Yesterday was the first time I had no second thoughts about donating money I could not afford at a pharmacy, and today, I stopped by my job to check if my boss needed any extra-help today, for free, of course. The book made me realize that even the smallest acts of kindness make a difference in the lives of others. I hope at least one other person reads it and gets something from it. Good luck.

The world has done so much for me, so I think its time to pay it back. Go green, feed the hungry and just lift people’s spirits :)

I met this single mom who was abandoned by her husband who took literally everything. So there was nothing at all, no stove, no beds, no matrasses, no washing machine, no money, really nothing. The kids where placed in a foster home by a judge, till the basic necessities where met.
So I went on the net, visiting all kinds of get stuff for free and second hand websites to get beds, matrasses, a stove and a washing machine, went to the store to buy blankets and stuff, got someone to drive a van and we went on a drive through the country to get all the stuff.
We connected everything, mum and us build the beds. The week after there was a case at the courthouse where the judge verdicted that the children could live with their mother again, first for a trial period, and now it is made permanent.
I will probably never see the family again, but it was nice to do something that changed the world for them.

I have a burning desire to get up out of bed each morning and do something during that day which will whether now or later change the world.
I don’t yet know how I will change the world, whether it will require a particular skill set unique to me or whether it’s just going to require hard work.

i feel like we’re all here for a reason. to live our passion. to give to those who don’t have as much as us. to be kind. to inspire others. we all have a reason, and i think figuring out why your here is part of life and eventually, i think it leads us to changing the world. in big, or small ways.
