It seems no matter how determined I am to get a good nights sleep, it doesn’t happen. Being a mom, the only completely “ME” time is after the kids are in bed. Well I guess I need a lot of me time cause I always stay up so late. My husband and I usually will put on a movie about 10 or 11, so that puts us in bed about 1 or later. Then people are constantly hanging out at our house, which is great, but keeps me from getting that me time. So I end up staying up even later. If I can go to bed before midnight 4 days out of the week, I will consider myself successful. I am extremely tired right now, so off to bed I go. Yay, it’s only 11!
How to go to sleep before midnight
How I did it: This wasn't that hard of a goal, just one that I had a bad habit of not sticking to. When my husband would work night shift was the worst for me--I would find myself still awake at 2am, still watching tv. I have a hard time falling asleep, mostly because I 'replay' the day in my head each night over and over again. I've had to learn to turn off that lovely feature of my brain :)
Lessons & tips: Lay off the caffeine late in the afternoon, and make sure your bedroom is comfortable for sleeping and relaxing. Best advice--turn off the tv, or better yet, unplug it from the wall :)

I have had to get into this habit because I joined a club (fun) that meets at 7 am. I like waking up and going to sleep at the same time every day. Only late parties throw me off.
