post a missed connection on craigslist for fun

i always read through those missed connections and wondered if people got replies. those ads are bittersweet… i feel safe, i guess i’m not the only person who glances at someone every once in a while and feels my heart drop. okay, so i made up an ad saying that the only reason i went into this one store was to “catch a glimpse of you, lord knows i can’t afford anything in there.”
well, i got the best reply ever. someone anon. emailed me and said “what i can tell you is that he is dating the girl with the dirty blonde hair that works the counter, who happens to be the only reason that I go in there.” ...hah, how great is that? i just love this kind of stuff. two lonely people drifting throughout their days, emailing each other about others they see from afar and know they will never have.
