"Tough, But well worth it."
How I did it: I started getting acne when I was about 12, as I got older, it started getting worse. When I was 13 I continuously went to the doctors to get different treatments for it, nothing ever worked.
When I was 15 it was so bad, I was stared at, made fun of everyday and my confidence was at its lowest. I was finally given a dermatologist and they decided to put me on a treatment called Roaccutane (Accutane). I was worried because I had heard about the side effects (Depresion, suicidal thoughts, Seizures..) But i decided to go through with it anyways.
It was very tough, but after each month you could see it was starting to clear up. The side effects were bad ( I wont go into them ) but it was one of the best things iv ever done for myself. I took two courses of 50mg a day.
I still get pimples now and then if I don't eat properly, or forget to take my make-up off before bed but I now have good skin :)
(If you didn't guess, I'm the one on the far left in the picture, I didn't have any pictures taken when I had my acne at its worst, thats when I had started the treatment).
Lessons & tips: Moisturize using a good quality product, drink 8-12 glasses of water a day, Try to get at least 5 portions of fruit and vegetables, Avoid greasy, fried foods!, Don't wear foundation and Use a UV/Sun protection everyday.
