Anita is going to relax...
I’ve had bad acne since I was like 14 years old, and 5 years later, I still get it every day. There are times where it clears up better that usual, then it all comes right back. I’ve tried lots of acne treatments, but I’ve never gotten a completely clear face. Well, there was one time I knew these two girls from the Dominican Republic, and they gave me something to put on my face before I went to bed, and when I woke up, it was gone. I never knew what it was that they used on me, but I wish I had it now. But, it’s okay. I’m gonna figure out another way to clear my skin with other products.

I had acne since fourth grade, and by the time i hit late middle school it got really severe. I had tried everything from topical meds to oral ones, and NOTHING worked. i started accutane after my brother used it for only 3 or 4 months and got rid of most of his acne.I was on accutane for 8 months and before i had reallyy bad face and body acne. after about 2 months of being on it my body acne has completely cleared, but (this is to anyone thinking of starting it) when you first start your acne actually gets worse for about month. my doctor explained it as as the bad oils coming to the surface of your skin as they’re being removed. the only bad side affects i had reallyyy dry lips (i had like 5 things of chapstick on my at all times), dry arms (body lotion becomes your best friend), and some mild depression symptoms. my face also got much more red while i was on it (i have pretty pale skin) and when my brother was on it his redness was horrible. so if you have darker or more olive toned skin you probably won’t get any redness, but nonetheless when i stopped it all went away. now (about 4 months later) i get one or two occasional pimples, but always small ones that clear up fast. because i had acne for so, so many years i have some leftover scars of my face that i use makeup on. but the one thing i said when i started accutane was that i wanted to be able to go outside with no makeup on and feel 100% comfortable around other people. and now i do that, i like wearing makeup because it’s fun and enhances your features, but i really don’t have to if i don’t want to, which has made a world of a difference : ) now i use clindamycin gel once a day after i wash my face, it’s very gentle and i get almost no pimples now, which is suchh an incredible thing for me. good luck guys!

Kirsten is going to borders tomorrow to get the Dream it. List it. Do it! book
Recently when I went to a dermatologist a few days ago I was subscribed a new acne medicine. What’s different about this is that it fights inflammatory acne, which is what most people with more severe acne have. The product is called “aczone” and it works amazingly.
This is only a facial cream, and it’s slightly, slightly gritty. It works excellently.
The only major side affect would be if you are very, very sensitive to any kind of prescription on your skin. Such as 4% benzoyl peroxide – if you get red, dry skin with this aczone might do the same thing.
Also don’t use aczone and benzoyl peroxide at the same time, it’ll turn anything that’s white to orange, lol!
As always when using a product, diet is also incorporated into this. So for the best results eat healthy and exercise lots too~!
Can’t wait for beautiful skin!

Finally am to the point where it is a habit to use the meds (adapelene cream) every evening. It if definitely starting to improve, but am still dealing with dryness and concerned about scarring. Too bad I didn’t have this stuff to try 10 years ago.

I’ve added 2 homemade toners and a scrub to my regimine:
-Green Tea (w/olive oil for moisturizing benefits) Toner
-Apple Cider Vinegar & Green Tea Toner (w/ olive oil for moisturizing benefits)
I’ve also added a Green Tea and Sugar Scrub. I used the Scrub and the Green Tea Toner last night and my skin feels firmer, softer, and smoother.
For the recipes (& others) go to www.youtube.com/bubzbeauty or www.bubzbeaty.com. I love this girl! Her stuff is soo good and she had bad acne when she was younger too! I’m starting to see a difference in my skin with her homemade beauty concoctions!

On Monday I go in for my next dermatologist appointment. It seems like my skin is getting clearer. I have been using a lot of lip moisturizer and neutragena beaty fluid. It seems so keep down the dryness, but I hope it isn’t clogging my pores. Also, I have been drinking more water. I think my next prescription is going to be more intense. Hopefully everything goes well…

I’ve still been using the honey mask on an almost daily basis and my face is getting clearer and clearer! I’ve also started using a fade cream for my dark spots. The problem is that is smells really bad and it makes my eyes tear up from the smell. :( I’ll most likely switch to another fade cream that smells better. Maybe Ambi’s Fade Cream for sensitive skin. (Btw, has anyone tried it? How’d it work for you?)
I’ve also heard of and have been trying out a new cleansing method. Washing twice. I use a pea sized amount of my face wash to wash the first time. You’ll notice that you don’t see a lot of foaming. That’s because you’re just washing off the dirt and oil. Rinse off the face wash and then washing your face again with the same amount of cleanser. You’ll notice that there will be a lot more foaming and bubbles. That is because the first wash took off the dirt and oil and the second can now actually cleanse the skin. I also leave the second wash on and then go and brush my teeth to let my face wash do what it’s supposed to and then rinse it off. I do this in the morning and at night.
My Regimine
Morning
-Continuously Clear Face Wash
-Continuously Clear Repairz It
Night
-Continuously Clear Face Wash
-(most nights) Honey Mask
-Continuously Clear Clearz It
-Fade Cream

I’ve been using my honey mask for the past couple of weeks or so and so far so good. Many of my whiteheads have gone away and my dark spots have faded a bit!
This makes me happy. Hopefully I can have clear skin by my senior year! :)

I can’t rememeber a time when I didn’t have acne. It didn’t bother until I was about 15 and my mum said she thought it was bad enough to involve the doctor, ever since then I’ve been really self conscious of it. It seems I’ve tried everything there is to get rid of it sand nothing has worked yet.
But I will find something!

one pack down
ok, I’ve gone through one pack of accutane. I’m definitely feeling the chapped lips, dry skin, and itchiness. i have also had some flare-ups. but from what I’ve heard, it gets worse before it gets better….so I’m hangin in there. I’m trying to drink as much water as I can. I think this will help. wish me luck!!!!
