it took me a while,
but i started real slow
first i spent about 3 hour on youtube sorting through crap other people had posted and tried to get a vague undestanding
then i got into the backyard and started expetimenting with screwdrivers [which work suprisingly well]
and my most recent feat
has been taking eight inch spikes [oversized nails]
putting some wrapping on those and going for it
in can stick them in the grass no problem
but when it comes to distance i start to.. well.. suck
but it coems with practice =D

This just isn’t a skill which I desire right now. So, I’m giving up on this for now.

did you ever get some throwing knives? just to let everyone know, throwing knives are not illigal in the UK. Butterfly knives, throwing stars, locking knives, flick knives and folding knives with a blad longer than 3 inches ARE against the law.
it is against the law to carry a sharp or pointed instrument in public unless a valid reason is given for carrying such object.
so anyway. throwing knives are legal, but obvioulsy practice them in your back garden or garage or something. its great fun and well woth the patience of learing the throw!
another not…never buy the ones with the adjustable weights on, they are pointless and you will get obsessed with trying to find the right weight. just get some centre ballanced ones and your a winner!

The secret is to judge your distance and for every metre you alternate the possition of your grip on the knife.start withyour hand holding the sharp end and through with theelbow snapping into possition! this i learnt on my own and it works for me!

I enjoy throwing knives very much. It’s frustrating for a while until you get the hang of it but once you do it’s a good stress reliever.

Beginners guide book yesterday, it seems to be a genuine book for people interested in throwing knives with skill and accuracy, like performance artists, rather than some rambo style effort for survivalists.
