Kitty Kitchen is dewdrops
I’m checking this goal off, as we read together every day, and I know that it has become habitual for both of us. We love our storytime!

Book worms that is!
I truly love books. I often have dreams that wholly revolve around me, browsing bookshelves. Holding them, smelling them…maybe even flipping through one or two ;)
What more wondrous activity is there than to be absorbed into the magical world of a great read?
So for the last three weeks, each Wednesday, Cullyn and I have headed to the library. There are cushions and rugs and toys and lots of other kids – not to mention lots of fantastic books to read and borrow. I have been reading to him every day, and I think he’s really growing to love the ritual – much less eating of books and much more looking at books of late, which is great!
Reading with my son is my absolute favourite bliss in the world.

Okay so it’s taken longer than I thought to get all the books unpacked…but now I have no excuse for letting this one linger untouched.
I’m thinking that a nice story each night before bath time will be ideal for setting up routines and winding down for sleepy times. I’m not expecting to get through more than a few pages each time, I mean Cullyn is only 5 months old after all…but I know I’m going to love this, and I really think my baby will too.
He’s only 6 months old right now, but I know reading is already important and a great way to expose him to more language. I’m loving reading him poetry and Dr Seuss, the flow and rhyming patterns are just so pleasing to the ear.
I want him to develop a love of reading. Sometimes our schedule is really hectic and I can’t do it.
