Florida weather is horrible. I looked up items to have in a car emegency kit and also the entries under this goal and realized that most of the stuff is unsuitable to be put into a car and left for hours. Like a ‘runaway bag’ as I call it, can only have clothes, I can’t put stuff like deoderant, make-up, lotion, etc. Other stuff that I can put in a c.e.k. such as flashers, extra batteries, flashlights, cannot be put there either. Did anyone have this problem or something like it?
How to create a Car Emergency Kit
How I did it: Researched what items could be left in the car even during extreme temperatures, made a list of what I have and don't have, as well as a list of what I needed to add to the group.
Lessons & tips: Only pack what your journey will need. ie. If its summer, don't pack snow tires or kitty litter for snow. Use common sense, lol.
Resources: Internet, friends, family, stores that carried premade kits. The premade kits give an overall idea of what's generally needed.
People doing this are also doing these things:

...now resides permanently in my glovebox with the essential pick-me-ups such as moisturiser, deodorant, body spritz and the like. And in the boot of my car I have an overnight bag with a jumper, shirt and umbrella…
At the moment these are the only things I have thought of but I’m sure that over time there is no doubt this collection will be added to. I just need to ensure that when I do use the supplies, they will be replenished immediately!
In some small way my life seems a little more organised, as much as I don’t want my car to be a second bedroom, I think it’s important to have some element of emergency control in your life for those unforseen circumstances.
I cannot list the countless number of times I have found myself in between appointments or engagements and desperately in need of a quick make-over or freshen up – only to find that time does not permit.
Deodorant, body spray, a jumper or a singlet, make-up or face wipes, all of these things are often missed when in between engagements, time does not permit us to go home and freshen up first. (the pains of being a woman)
Therefore, more than once I’ve found myself rushing into a late-night chemist to buy something or simply making do – wishing that I had some necessities kept in the car at all times for the inconvenient moments such as this.
So the goal is to creat a kitty of essentials to be kept in my car at all times so that if such a situation does present itself I will have the essentials to disguise stress or ill preparation gracefully…. and articles of clothing enough to adapt to all weather situations without being too exposed to the elements.
