pay off a credit card

One card is now history, working on the next one. Long slow process, but I have to do this!!

Of course the second one I used again because I wanted a plaid print trench coat. :)

1 card down, only 4 more to go! Let’s make that three. I’ll pay one off riiight now. I can be a little more conservative in my spending for the next few weeks.

Okay, made another payment yesterday. I have to stay focused. It’s so hard to keep paying large amounts when the minimum payment is so low now—it’s a psychological game, for sure. I have other cards where the min. payment is much higher, and it’s easy to get distracted and want to throw money at them, too. But this one has the highest APR, so it must die!!!

I got paid today so I sent the last bit of the balance off to the credit card company.

I have $61 dollars left to pay.

I finally paid this one off. Now I just have to pay Macy’s and Lens Crafters, then I can focus on the larger ones of Discover, and the two Chase accounts.

That is the hope, anyway. I’m trying to focus on one at a time, though I have so much debt, sometimes it freaks me out and I get scattered. Focus, focus. Breathe.

$1,200 left to go. They cut my minimum payment in half this month but I’ll still keep paying above that. The sooner it’s done the better.

We have a family situation coming up that may make me cut payments on the credit card down to the minimum over the summer.
