Zac is contemplating what goal he should work on
How I did it: Took a BRC class thro the state and got my card then just finished up with the written test. When I got to Japan they didn't acknowledge the BRC I'de already taken so I went ahead and took the ARC with them. Read how I did it…
How I did it: At my friend's suggestion, we took a motorcycle safety course. At that time in NJ, the state sponsored a free course over the weekend. After we got our motorcycle endorsement, I started my internship and continued to save up money for my first motorcycle. We frequently visited dealers to sit on and talk about motorcycles to find the ones we wanted to get. I checked Craigslist alot to find different types of bike. I also consulted with som… Read how I did it…
How I did it: It's easy to buy a motorcycle, one day course for CBT, find a 125cc bike, buy it, buy insurance and off you go. The harder part is keeping it running and getting the experience ready to take your big bike test. I recently passed that and I am now looking to buy another motorbike that can match the speed of the surrounding traffic so I am no longer a one-man traffic jam. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I asked the advice of my co-worker. He asked me questions about what I wanted to do on my bike--and he suggested the KLR 650. I found a used one on Craigslist. It's a 1995-- so it's aqua, yellow, and purple. It totally suits me! Read how I did it…
How I did it: I had ridden trail bikes as a kid, but that was 30 years ago. So, I wanted to find a refresher course before going to get my license. I found a weekend course sponsored by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation, USA. It was two full days of classroom lecture and riding lessons, which ended with a test (written & riding). Great course! So glad I took it, I learned a ton. Our weekend group turned out to be … Read how I did it…

I bought my first bike yesterday! It’s a 2006 Suzuki Boulevard S40, got it for $3K and change. Best part is that I can already put both my feet on the gound and it doesn’t have to get lowered at all. Sweet. I pick it up this weekend, along with my helmet which I had to order (they didn’t have many extra smalls in the store, lol).
Picture is not that great cause it was taken on my phone. =(

I had a Gilera DNA scooter when I was a youngster and it was stolen and destroyed. I replaced it with an Aprilia RS50 GP1. Beautiful machine but completely unreliable. I crashed it and wrote it off. Luckily I was okay but my insurance premium went through the roof.
Once I graduate I plan to look for a new bike. I’d love a BMW but would happily settle for something like a Honda Hornet or Ducati Monster. Its just a case of waiting now.
the Honda Rebel. It’s small and only 250cc but I think it’s a good starter bike, especially for living in the city. Also I can get a used one in decent shape probably for under $3K. Not bad. I don’t want to spend a ton of money on my first bike in case I drop it (I dropped the bike 3 times during my private lessons but not once during my MSF class). Once I’ve ridden the Rebel for a season or two, I will save up and get the bike I REALLY want – the Harley Roadster 883 Low. In blue. Hellz yeah.
KatieMarieNv HAPPY with myself!
Gosh…there’s so many that look appealing! I just simply can’t decided on what I want to ride first! People keep asking me, “Do you want a road bike, or a sport bike?” Okay…well, here’s my answer…
I’m a little cramped for cash, trying to pay for my education on my own, with no financial aid, as well as supporting myself. First of all, I’d be smittin’ simply over a little 125 to ride around on, at minimum. However, we all know that’s not going to cut it. So, if you really must have an answer, here is goes:
As far as the lower division bikes

I really like that bike. However, if I couldn’t get something similiar to that bike, and had to choose between a street bike and sport bike, here’s my reply to that…
I like the sport bikes better. However, without any makes/models discussed, and I had to choose a bike off the top of my head…well then Harley Davidson is the only way to roll. There’s no competition in that department. However, any road bike (besides harley) up against any sport bike, I’d had to say I prefer a sport bike. My first pick would be the R6. Other then that, its either that 440 kawasaki or a harley. Hands down.
Scott 12 hours of sleep and I feel much better
I got a 99 Honda Superhawk last night. The dealer is delivering it to my place this afternoon because I still have to go take the driving test for my motorcycle license. I took the MSF course 2 years ago, but was lazy and never went to get my license because I didn’t buy a bike. The dealer is also letting me borrow a 250 Rebel for the driving test, which will be nice.
I’m excited to get my license and get riding.

Last weekend my dad and I took a little trip to California for a motorcycle run down there. It is kinda one of our father daughter yearly things :). We took a little spill…which was the first time I ever have. I got a pretty bad case of road rash on my knee, wrist, and also sprained my ankle.
The crazy thing was that I would have been ready to hop right back up on that bike and continue the ride. The only thing holding me back was the fact that I couldn’t get my boots on anymore, and my knee needed medical attention. Hehe :D.
Now I am just chilling, waiting for my body to recover. I feel so thankful that my injuries were not bad for a motorcycle accident. Many of the fellow riders were wondering if I would ever ride again. Heck yeah I will. But I have learned a valuable lesson and will not go without my gear! The gloves saved my hands (for the most part), the boots saved my ankle and foot, the jacket saved my arms, but I unfortunately was wearing jeans and so my knee had little protection. That will teach me!
Anyway I am pretty stoked still about getting myself a motorcycle. My dad has been trying to get me out to help him look for a replacement bike for himself and possibly a cheap one for me to get comfortable on :). It will still be a few more days of staying off my feet (for the sake of my ankle more than anything), but hopefully I will be able to check out possible bikes soon. Interesting how when something bad happens, it spawns good things to happen :D.
Well, when I was a little kid I always wanted to learn to ride a motorcycle, this kind of faded into the background as I got older though. I started watching MotoGP recently and went to the 2008 Inaugural Indianapolis MotoGP race and it re-awakened my desire to to learn to ride and own a bike. After doing some searching I definitely want to get a Kawasaki Ninja 250r, good starter bike, I like the way it looks. Don’t know how I’m going to afford it but, I’ll figure out a way.
Melanie is a goldfish.
After a bit of research, I think I’ve found a motorcycle I’d be interested in. I’m thinking Suzuki GSX-R750 or possibly GSX-R1000. My only concern is that the GSX-R may be a bit too much for me to handle starting out.
As far as their physical size goes, I have no idea how the size of my body compares to them. I’m so tiny, I’m sure I will have to have it lowered. I’m thinking of taking the class offered at my community college to get some practice before I commit to buy anything.
