How I did it: I had a lot of tea, but I found that I was not drinking much of it. I wanted to be as much of a tea drinker as I was a tea collector. I set out to drink tea every day. The weather today is cloudy and cool, so I am drinking hojicha. Hojicha is made from only stems, no leaves, so it has what seems to me a very fall like flavor.

For some reason I’ve always said I dont drink tea, maybe something to do with trying it when I was little and not liking it. anyway last few months have involved lots more tea drinking of people around me, ie Ive got a job in an office, meeting new friends, meeting old friends. I’m a bit sick of everyone giving me old looks when I say I dont drink tea (after I tell them I’m an accountant as well i just become invisable). So here I am learning to drink tea to fit in with the rest of the world, and its not too bad.

I had started drinking tea a few years ago when i had a bad cold and was desperate and have been drinking it since. :) Hot Black with a touch of milk

Mostly I wanted to acquire a taste for tea because I’d feel dorky getting a soda if someone invited me out for coffee. I tried green tea at first and didn’t really like that, then black tea which was a little better but not by much. I then realized I didn’t want to be dealing with caffeine so I tried herbal tea and that’s what I’m sticking with.

Tea is one thing that you really need to spend some good money on to get a good tasting product. I stay away from store brands and can always trust Bigalow, Celestial Seasonings and Stash to deliver a falvorful cup worth spending time with. My personal favorites: Mint Medley, Orange Spice Black Tea and Lemon Lift. Enjoy!
