Hey All. Yep I have done this, 7 times in the past 2 1/2 years to be exact. My next goal is to pay off my debt so i can go work for them. My first cruise i spent every night sleeping under more stars than i could see in rural Nebraska. Amazing.
The islands are small and people are wonderful. The captain will usually steer clear of an island where a “foo-foo” ship is and head to a different one. The members of the crew are the best. they will make you never want to leave.

mejaka is on the preferred substitute list--for Project. Weird.
But a windjammer-a real, tall ship, with sails snapping and wood decks-THAT appeals to me. One description of the particular company I’m eyeing says “This is not a luxury cruise; cabins are fairly small.” But the great thing is, this isn’t the kind of cruise where you hang out in your cabin staring out a porthole and having food brought to you by obsequious porters and staff. Cabins are for sleeping…unless you want to sleep up top. Even standing on deck is ten times more exciting under popping white sails than on your standard cruise line where you can barely even tell you’re on the ocean.
Plus, it’s cheaper.
I’m thinking…20th anniversary (next year?) Or maybe 25th anniversary? If I had more disposable income I’d be booking right now instead of writing this.
