I know, I know, I have told myself this everyday… but I mean it this time! I am starting tomorrow!

i dont really know what im blogging about right now, but i want to lose weight and get fit.

Ugh PCOS is the Pits 10 months ago

I have PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) which basically means my hormones are messed up and along with this my cells are insulin resistant (which I’m on medication for) and basically it all adds up to there being far more of me to love than I’m comfortable with.

So basically I have the insulin resistance thing sorted out (thankyou modern medical science!) and my diet is quiet good – I eat a lot of fresh fruits and vegies, whole foods, not much fat and sugar, and organic where I can. I also try and stay away from wheat-based foods as I seem to be sensitive to them and I get moody and put on weight when I eat them.

My sticking point is exercise! I try and walk the dogs daily but if I can think of a reason not to, I’ll justify not going out and walking. My willpower is really bad when it comes to physical exertion. I used to go to a personal training studio but found uber fit blokes bouncing around chivvying me and making me feel like I wasn’t doing my best really rather intimidating.

I like to swim but my body image stops me from going out in public with only a pair of bathers on. I really don’t think I’m massive as far as overweight people go but I don’t want to inflict thunder thighs on anyone if I can help it.

I think alongside my goal to quit playing WoW, I’ll find less reasons to not go out walking with the dogs. I’d like to find a sport that I can enjoy and I used to be fit and terrific when I owned a horse in my teenage years but that’s really not financially viable at this time.

So im trying to lose weight and what im doing is playing dance dance revolution extreme. It has this work out thing and it’s really helping me get motivated into excercising alot. but too bad it’s my friends and i have to give it back to her. Anyway i found this thing on the internet and it said i should walk 60min. each day and after im done with that i should do 20 push ups. AND i have to drink…....WATER! i mean i drink water but not much. So im gonna have to give up drinking juice and lemonade for a while. So the thing is im gonna eat healthy, drink lots of water ( NO JUICE ) and im gonna have to excercise everyday to get fit and stay in shape. IT HURTS MY HEART THAT IM GONNA HAVE TO DRINK WATER AND NOT JUICE. :( AND I GUESS I COULD USE MY WORKOUT VIDEO I GOT.

Slow but steady 15 months ago

It seems that when you reach the last faze of weight loss the thing slows down a bit…. Like fine tuning – delicate work, takes more time.

So I’ve been on a seesaw between 59-60kg for a month almost now. But it’s not alarming me anymore…it seems to fit the logical explanation.

Body is finding it’s new balance, distributing it reserves other places (LOL)...making another blueprint of the temple….
all in all…it seems good.

Ok, back to 60kg :( 15 months ago

Maybe it was just my wishful thinking that I even had 59kg. I seem to have been stuck at 60kg now for a while…I am still doing things the same, even a bit more demanding sometimes, and yet my body weight seems to doesn’t want to go bellow 60. I pisses me off but I still have a month to go and maybe it’ll start to drop after a few more days.

I love my body, it knows exactly what to do….I just do the sweating and it does the redistributing….now we make a great team. Go team ME!!!!!

It's starting to show!!!! 16 months ago

It’s not just me anymore, other people are starting to notice.

They ask me: “Did you loose some weight?” and I gleefully answer: “Yes, indeed I did. Are you telling me it shows?(wink wink)”

I love this feeling. My jeans fit better. Nothing is pouring out of them when I sit or jiggles when I walk.

I still have around 4kg more to loose but I’m already reaping rewards for my determination and I’m loving it!!!!
