After months of searching, I found a good template for my online portfolio. Now I need to start scanning my art, and typing up my poetry into the template. Lots of work, but I want to finish it as soon as possible.

seems kind of weird/dumb for a web or graphic designer to use a 3rd party portfolio site, right? i went with it for these reasons:
- a remote location for my things in case my site goes down
- would take me many hours to make a similar CMS for easily managing my pieces
i have stayed with it for these reasons:
- i am lazy
- a bunch of people have found me through that site and offered me jobs
I’ve decided to make this page a family website with an embedded journal and flickr stream to share with family and friends the latest goings on year round.
I really do need to do this. I’m wondering now whether to make it photography focused rather than my original idea of focusing on my graphic design. I have most of the layout done, just need to plug in the actual work and upload it all.
since my .com was taken by a cybersquatter (FIE!), i have switched to .net… registered it today on godaddy (plus privacy options.. fie to stalkers as well) and got a hosting account on dreamhost ( http://dreamhost.com/index.html .. sale right now doubles your disk space; GREAT deal).
now tonight i will probably be drinking too much to do any work, and i won’t be near my computer anyway, but this weekend… it would be nice to finish this up. start to finish, two days, good right?
