I went to the see the Redwoods last month. It was an unbelievable experience and I would recommend it to anyone who gets the chance. When we went, it was ladybug mating season on this one trail and every inch of space was covered in lady bugs.
I’ve camped in the Redwood forest a dozen times. My favorite location there is the Jedidiah Smith State Park in California http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=413

Go see them and that’s all I have to say. Gorgeous. Amazing. Beautiful. Majestic. God’s creations, always interesting and intricut, no matter how large or small. Just go see.
Great powerful trees. The first people to grow and populate this loamy earth. Still standing strong. Let’s hope they’re still here when we’re gone.
My exhusband and I drove from Washington State to Southern California with his parents. We stopped in the Redwoods on our way through Northern California. The roads we were on to get there were a little windy and more poor son who was 4 at the time got carsick all over me. We took lots of photos. Although those photos are not in digital format yet so I cannot attach.
If you have a strong connection with nature, these ancient towering trees will leave you breathless. You will realize that you have just been in the presence of something precious and timelessly ancient.
all of them are being cut down to make deck furniture for our suburban
homes. It is really madness that we would cut even one down….
