Since I’m too lazy to get into shape myself and the frequency of my rollerblading is nowhere near what it should be- we decided to get personal trainers to whip us back into shape.

My new credo is “Do or Do not – there is no try”. Yes, I stole it, unashamedly. Is that a word? I don’t even care. Muh muskcles hurt dammnit! They do not agree with my brain. Fortunately feet do not operate independently. If they did, they would be stamping in time with the muscles…..brain says they are just wimpy. Do you see what I have to put up with? The arguing. Distractions are necessary. That was what TV, music, and reading are for during exercise. Good thing we can’t eat during! (Hmmmm…says brain, I think I can work that problem out! Uh oh….)
Trying to become a gym rat. Signed up for two classes at school. One that does floor exercise and the other weight/cardio. Plus I am going to the regular gym about 3x week. Haven’t signed up for a full membership though. Making progress but it is still the E word…..
It’s been harder to keep up with this goal during this part of my trip. It’s over 110 every day!! I can keep up with the isometric (sitting) exercises and if I was really dedicated (which obviously I am not), I would do situps or something inside. There are no malls nearby and walking in Wal-Mart does not constitute exercise!! Sigh. Tomorrow and Friday I should get more walking in. We are traveling to some mountains where it will be cooler.
So on my RT I realized there’s one thing I can do – isometric exercises. I’ve done it before and forgot. So easy to do! It really works though – and helps to tone the stomach before tackling anything major!
Being touristy helps too. On my visit to San Diego I have walked about a mile each day. Today my walk was a mini hike too. Lots of hills here! I’m tired but it’s satisfying….
Why do we think it’s a bad word? Okay – those of that find it challenging. The last couple of years I have taken a class at the local community college. It worked out fairly well – cheap! Not always flexible to my schedule though.
I loved the last class – low impact yoga/pilates using a ball. It started off promising – I even walked to work afterwards. But having an issue with my shoulder, I never got back on track after spring break. So….I need to get in gear again!
Im 34 5 11 and 210 lbs.I do not consider my self fat,but over the last couple of years ive developed a belly!!!I need 2 Stop Eating Sweets And Drinking pop.Im Not 25 anymore…Booooo!!!!1
Need
- exercise buddy
- to set up weight set
- to set up treadmill
- tai chi
need to improve both stamina and strength.
need to improve eating habits and quantity of food eaten. fortunately, i am not snaking so that is not a problem in the sense of weight gain. however, i do need to snack before i go to bed to help my metabolism keep down my blood sugar.
i would like to lose about 20 to 30 lbs but would be satisfied with improved stamina and slimming down.
