Strategic Plan is going well. Soon it’ll be a matter of handing it off to others to help bring the identified plans to fruition. I work in geek central; using online tools and project management are part of my DNA at this point.
Not the case for pretty much everyone else at the school, though. I do NOT want to be the person who’s the “gate” on all of this, or the person perceived as being “in charge” of it all – I’m way too much of an @narchist for that. ;^)
I don’t know if Basecamp will work for the others. They’re still way analog, way tickled that they can get drafts of the plan via email. We’ll see.

I’m trying to coordinate some strategic planning work for my kid’s school. Right now, I’m trying to scale what I do at work (a big ol’ multinational) for their needs. MSProject just makes no sense – complete overkill. (Especially for a bunch of folks who are just now learning Word & Powerpoint.) Very happy that it’s a non-MSFT solution.
Basecamp looks usable and useful. I’m going to try it out, and hope it’ll do what we need!

I am managing three projects with Basecamp and I love it. I was an early adopter so when I upgraded to the paid plan I got unlimited people and clients for my three projects.

I’m very happy with my basecamp experience. I’ve tried 3 other creative project management options and I’ve found basecamp to be the best of what I’ve used. It keeps everyone on the same page and allows us to keep ideas and designs in the workflow. I love it!
