Juris Doctorate, that’s a doctorate. No? 9 months ago

I am so elated to be done with this goal! Yes, I wrote “not worth it” in the description, but that is only because of the cost. The achievement is gargantuan, and having the ability, the credentials, and the title are life-changing.
The trade-off is that I am now paying on huge student loans, which are hampering my financial well-being.
On the whole – I would rather have the money, since having the doctorate does not look likely to enhance my income by much :)

6 years to get my associate (2 year) degree after a rough start in life, 1 class at a time, starting at 24, and finishing at 30 years old.

3 years to get my bachelor degree in an accelerated program. I started this 3 years after completing my A.A.S., and finished at 36 years old. 2 years to get my MBA, starting 10 years after achieving my B.S. I finish in THREE weeks, at 49 years old!!!! Update: I finished in 2007.

I will start putting everything in place to pursue a doctorate in organizational leadership in the Spring of 2007. This program should take me 4 years, and hopefully I will finish at 54-55 years old. Update: it is now January 2012 and I am ABD, with my dissertation in review. I should graduate this Spring.

THEN I will figure out what I want to do when I grow up :)
