get my doctorate

So I’ve sent CHP 5 to editor. I know it is still a mess. I have an NVivo class net week= which should hep me put some more data into chp. 4. Over the weekend I want to print out and really clean up the entire paper. I need to comment/explain more of the charts. But it is close. I am sick of it.

I’ve been thinking about this for a long time and now I know I want to do it. For someone reason I always thought that I would never even finish college with an associates degree! I am set on proving myself wrong. I only wish I had this realization when I was 18 (I’ll be 26 in December). I could have been done by now! I tried college 7 years ago and it didn’t work out because I think I was bored with my major which was Graphic Design. For a long time I thought it was me. Now I know I just needed to find what interested me. Something bigger and more challenging. Even if I didn’t go all the way and ended up with a BA I would still be really proud of myself. I think since I set such a big goal for myself it will push me to go all the way. I have to do this.

Yesterday I finished my one-year full time internship. Now, I only have to finish and defend my dissertation! What a long road!

So I am in the middle of writing chp. four. I need to have it complete by the end of the week. Then I can go on to chp 5. If I finish that in 1.5 weeks, I can get it to editor and be ready for corrections at the beginning of class on August 25. This is a must do deadline. I can do it. I have to do it.

I am in midst of interviews now. I need to figure out how to analyze. I also need to get off my butt and write EVERYDAY!

So it’s getting close to deadline. I am midway through interviews. I have one more scheduled. I would like to get at least 8 more, but that is pushing it. I won’t be graduated by my July deadline. In fact, I won’t even be finished with Chp 4/5 by the July deadline. BUT i know I am on the right track and I am moving forward. So progress is happening, just not quickly.

I have started the interviews and am very excited. All seems to be going well. I need to start pouring through the data now. YEA!

The proposal was accepted. I did an interview on Sunday. I am trying to schedule others soon. Things are moving ahead. I still need to work quickly though. Getting there!!

My proposal was finally approved. I have my first pilot interview scheduled for Thursday morning. I am going to a conference event tonight to recruit more interviewees. Transport Canada is also searching for some. I am excited an nervous.

So I am still waiting to hear from committee. I have contacted several airlines and prepped the waters. I still need to purchase the software and test the Skype. But I think things will work out.
