There’s a chance that next year sometime I’ll be going to London with my younger sisters and our mom. We’re planning and I’m trying to earn some money on the side, but we’ll see… right now my husband still hasn’t found a job (got laid off around a month ago) and while we’ve prepared for this, it doesn’t seem likely I’ll be able to go with them if they go next year. We’ll see, it’s a ways off yet.

As children my sis & I traveled a lot with our parents, but as adults that travel has evolved. We still bicker but we get along pretty well. It is also great to not be afraid of stating your opinion because, like most siblings, we state our mind, possibly argue about it, then go on as if nothing happened. Last spring we went on a cruise to Mexico. It was okay but not something I care to do again. Not because of my sis but because I found I am not a cruise person. We are now going on a road trip to Colorado in a few weeks. This is more along our style. We aren’t the party-all-night, drink-till-you-can’t-walk, bar/clubing type of 20 somethings. We prefer getting up early to beat the crowds, national parks, history, culture type trips. We are both so excited. Yipee!
Might make this happen soon. I’m turning 30 this summer and the last thing I feel like doing is sitting at home eating cake. I want to hike Patagonia (oops, it’s winter in August there) or surf in Nicaragua or climb Machu Picchu. I’m setting things in motion to make fun happen and I think my sister is on board.
After this semester of school, my sister is going to fly here, and we’re going to drive back home the long way, so we can see more places we’ve never been, and some we have before. Hopefully we’ll have a lot of fun! 2.5 months to go!
My sister and I started traveling together when my daughter graduated from boot camp in OK. Now my sister has Lymphoma. I wouldn’t trade these memories for anything. Please visit my website www.sisternet.org for more of our sister trips!
My younger sister and I travelled together once to Key West on spring break in college. We had a great time snorkeling and walking around town. She is good company. A travel show on PBS reminded me how much I like traveling with her. I’ve never travelled with both my sisters, and that is my new goal, a sister trip. We have reached a point where this would be a lot of fun and not much bickering. I can’t wait to make some plans.
