Orange – Stargazer, Dawn
Yellow – Manic Panic, Electric Banana
Green – Crazy Color, Emerald Green
Blue – Crazy Color, Sky Blue
Purple – Crazy Color, Violette
And, not in the rainbow, but still very cool:
Pink – Special Effects, Atomic Pink
I went to the store to get some red and orange dyes from stargazer on monday. There were several shades of red and ‘Golden Flame’ looked nicest on the little pieces of hair they have there, showing off the different shades. I know that is not always the result you’re going to end up with, but still, it is a good indication. I was a bit disappointed to see they do not have a true orange colour. ‘Dawn’ appeared most orange to me, but still is nothing compared to ‘Napalm Orange’ by Special Effects for example. (I’m judging this by photos of other people that have used it). Well, I first have to give it a try anyway, maybe I’m wrong about ‘Dawn’.
Than another thing, Im afraid I won’t be able to dye my hair rainbow tomorrow :(. I still have to go to my internship, to talk about my report and to get my mark for the internship. I’ve figured out that before I’m home again and packed for Berlin I’ll only have a couple of hours left. I’m afraid if I will start to dye my hair rainbow I end up with too little time and rushing things, which compromises on the result. So, I think I’ll wait a bit longer and dye it rainbow after Berlin, when I have much more time.
Last, I’m really starting to doubt again about how to dye my hair rainbow. First I wanted to make patches, in different colours, but now I came across a photo of a girl who had the most gorgeous ‘traditional’ rainbow hair. Starting with red vertical streaks at the front near the face, going to purple at the back of her head. It looked wickedly cool. However, I’m sure that dying hair rainbow is a process that could easily go wrong, so I don’t think I should just assume my hair would end up looking like that. Right now, I’m also considering another option: dying my hair rainbow, divding it into 6 different layers and dying each layer another colour, red on top, purple at the bottom. However since red is not my favourite colour of the rainbow and because it is a the top it would be most prominent. I therefore consider doing another layer (that being the new top layer) of pink and then the rainbow layers underneath. My bangs would also be pink. That’s the idea I fance most right now. I just have to make my mind up and be sure about it!
To summarize: dyes are in, dying postponed :P.
