    Wa-HEY! 3 years ago

YAY! I have DONE THIS! Every day for the past 43 days, actually, I have consulted my planner. I didn’t write up proper lists every day, but I am looking at it every single day. Now, if I can just stay in this habit, and maybe work at making more complete lists most days – probably not necessary every day, but there are days when I definitely need the reminders of what I want to accomplish that day.

YAY! It took me a while to do this, but I DID IT! happy dance

    Maybe I'll get there this time . . . 3 years ago

29 days. I’m not using it to it’s full potential, though. But at least I have remembered to write something in it every single day for 29 days. We’ll see if I make it to 40. :D

I have totally ignored this goal for the past several weeks. I don’t want to give up on it, though! I WANT TO DO THIS!

So, starting today, I am going to take it on as a 40-day goal. FOR THE NEXT 40 DAYS, I AM GOING TO DO MY PLANNING EVERY SINGLE DAY. Even when I’m on vacation next month. I already have a 40-day goal going (about half-way through), and I’m not sure I want to have two at the same time, but this is ridiculous. I need to take a stand on this, and commit to DOING IT EVERY DAY. So, consider this Day 0. Tomorrow, I will do my planning early in the day, and stick to it. For 40 days! I can do this.

Still going strong 3 years ago

Not sure how many days it’s been now, but I’m using my planner every day. And I think it really is helping me to stay on track with things. :)

I've been lax about this 3 years ago

I have been using my planner regularly, but not every day. The past couple of weeks have been tough – first my son was sick, and then I was (I’m just now starting to feel “myself” again), but those are really just kind of lame excuses.

So, I’m going to start again – I want to use the planner every day for at least three weeks straight before I consider this completed (since I’ve read that it takes 21 days to create a new habit). So, I’m calling 17 April my new “Day 1.” And yes, I did plan out my day this morning. :)

So far, so good. 3 years ago

I had a couple of days when I didn’t pay as much attention as I could have, but I’m back on track now – everything is caught up (with my planning; not necessarily with DOING everything) :D. But it’s going well so far. :)

I did my planning today 3 years ago

I fell off this a bit over the weekend, when my sister was here visiting. It’s okay, though – I’d already “planned” to not do a whole lot of specific tasks while she was here, so I didn’t fall behind. And this morning, I got right back to it again. So far, so good.

Got my planner set up again 3 years ago

For years, I’ve used the Franklin system on and off; obviously, recently I’ve been in an “off” phase. So, yesterday I went to the mall and got planner pages for the next year. I’ve got it all set up the way I want it now, and I’ve done my daily planning for today. Now, I think I’ll go have a look at the tasks I’ve got listed, and go and work on one of them! :)

Part of my anti-procrastination tactics! 3 years ago

There have been periods of time in the past when I’ve been committed to a daily planning routine (I used the Franklin system), and I found that having a system, including “to do” lists, was very helpful for me. Trouble is, I’ve never been able to sustain my use of a system like this. I’ve decided to give it another shot now, since I’m in a different place in my life now that I’ve ever been before. No reason to think that I can’t succeed at this, and I believe it will help me conquer my procrastination, which is something I very much want to do.
