I’m hoping can be scanned upon completion to serve as the cover image on my book of poems set in Colombia. Since my day-to-day life doesn’t regularly include times to sit down and work on neglected projects, I need to be more intentional about getting this one done.

So I’m going to set a target date for finishing this: June 30. That leaves me lots of room – but putting the date in writing will help me remember to plan for periodic embroidery sessions.

This kind of work is deeply meditative for me, like gardening, cooking, and drawing/painting. So I’m not just working toward finishing a project here, I’m giving more space in my life to self-nurture. 14 months ago

My goal is to work on this project every day until it is finished. The idea is that the daily progress will keep me motivated. 2 years ago
