Yeah…we’ll see how this goes
How to sew myself a messenger bag
How I did it: Trial and error, lots of errors! It is not the best, or the prettiest, but I am happy with it. I used cotton duck material with a thicker lining. Next for the flap, I used a felted sweater and needle felted that.
Lessons & tips: Don't have any yet! Maybe when I make my second one I will have more then.

Appolstry fabric works nicely and wears well :)
I use my grey bag daily, and have for about ten years now. It’s all I use for text books and note books etc here at college, and has traveled the globe with me :)

I used upholstery fabric remnants and exciting stuff for the linings and loved the results. The most expensive part of it was the pattern, but have used it so many times I felt that I got my money’s worth out of it. I would like to make one out of used clothing next. Make great xmas presents too.

All I need to do is borrow a sewing machine and get on with it. :)
It took longer than I expected, but it was pretty easy. It’s not perfect, but I like it. I’ve already put all my shit in it and covered it in pins and buttons. :) I’ll put pics up as soon as I get around to taking some.
